Our group ranged in ages from five years old to 86 years old and this home was a perfect fit for everyone! When the weather was inclement, no problem! The huge indoor gathering space and abundance of toys allowed for numerous activities for the little ones: playing school, riding small people toys, and reading books. Pool table, ping-pong table, and games provided indoor entertainment for the adults of all ages. When weather was pleasant we walked the mowed trails throughout the property enjoying the ponds, grasses, and trees. The fire-pit was perfect for enjoying s'mores! There were zero steps or tripping hazards for the one person with bad knees. The kitchen pans bowls and utensils were clean and in very good condition. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with towels, wash clothes, soaps and shampoos. The beds were comfortable with plenty of quilts and pillows. We visited the very well furnished Prairie Trail Museum in Corydon Iowa about 30 minute drive to the north, which was closed for the winter, but they happily opened it when we made arrangements in advance. The kids enjoyed ringing the big bells outside the museum. We also visited the Museum of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville Mo, which was a little smaller and catered to those interested in origins of Osteopathic medicine. We went out to eat at the Square View Dinner in Unionville, which had very friendly staff and very reasonable prices for made from scratch meals. We highly recommend this VRBO. The Host, Nancy Halferty very much desired for us to enjoy ourselves, answering all our questions with small town hospitality! If you desire a place with indoor space and outdoor space for quality family time, this home will fit your needs!
