Birthday Celebration Headquarters
We booked this property to celebrate a milestone birthday. With a group of 58 people joining me on island, I wanted 1. a central beachfront location that could house a sizable group, 2. to be within walking distance from most of the Grace Bay hotels/stores, 3. a property that would allow for an outdoor birthday dinner and 4. easy beach access. This property hit all of those needs and was the central meeting point.
While it is more homey/lived in than modern/fancy and could use some updates, it served us well. It was clean and accessible and had ample bathrooms/bedrooms to support the group of 12 who stayed in the house. The location is the best part as I could not find another home with direct access to Grace Bay Beach that was within easy walking distance to so much.
Catherine was amazing leading up to the stay, during the stay and at the end of the stay. She provided information and contacts that helped make planning much easier for me and was readily accessible to answer questions as they arose.
Two things to note: 1. There's currently no outdoor outlets or lighting on the walkway to the beach, which is where the birthday dinner was held, so that was an unforeseen challenge. Plan ahead if having an event that will go into the evening. 2. The covering for the patio isn't actually holding/diverting the water as expected, so given we had quite a bit of rain, the patio was seemingly the last place to dry and there was a steady drip from the covering above.
