when i entered my room after a late night check in, there was a wet plastic baggy right at the entrance of the bathroom with water spots on the floor around it. it was after 11pm. i was exhausted from traveling all day. i did not report it that night but i did when i checked out. i was trying to show the older gentleman at the counter the video i took. he would not even look at the video on my phone i was holding up. the young gentleman coming out of thr office in back of the counter, however, did watch the video i showed. the baggy did not match any of the hotel plastic wrappings around the cups or soaps in the room. i looked to make sure. i also left the baggy, that looked chewed, on the furnishings area where the microwave was, near the entrance to the room, across from the bathroom.

Springhill room floorpan is fantastic. Small living room with couch, tv, desk & fridge/coffee set up. Bed/tv in second room. Our room was clean and they very nicely let us check in early. And now the not so good... Elevators are tired, and pretty beat up. The breakfast area was a zoo. Crowded, food in short supply...placed right by the elevators. When we stepped off the elevator at 8a...it was like walking into an overcrowded airport concourse. Super busy holiday weekend, and they only had one person working breakfast for a packed house. Place was a mess. Felt sorry for the employee.

While it may be Downtown it is still next to the interstate in a shabby area. The shower did not work properly and the coffee machine was still dirty from the last guest. And, did I say here were hairs from the last guest on the shower wall? A disgrace! No apology from the manager when I raised these issues with the staff.

The Springhill Suites was a cheaper (and apparently better) option to the sister Convention Center property at which I was participating in a conference. The lobby/meal area was fantastic from the ambiance to the actual food and coffee! We really enjoyed our stay and will return when we are in Pueblo.
