"We liked everything about the hotel with the exception that the hotel controls the Air conditioner so they turned off when I asked why because it was really hot in the room they said around this time of year they do that and we went in November so we had to sleep with balcony door opened. Other than that it’s a nice place."

Spa area was separate to the main gardens but we did not have much time for this, you do need to book ahead. Breakfast buffet was okay with a good selection but some more healthy - low fat options would have been good. "The hotel had a lovely view of the volcano and the mountains, but it was quite a long walk away from high street down a steep hill. It wasn’t a problem to do the walk a couple of times, but definitely not every day. "We had an amazing stay at El Tope, it was just what we wanted. Would love to see some more amenities at the hotel and more activities/events within the hotel itself.
