"Absolutely loved my stay at the Vieques Guest House! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy retreat after a day of exploring the stunning island.
The location couldn't be better—just a short walk to the beach and local attractions. I appreciated the helpful recommendations from the staff, who were always eager to share insider tips about the best places to visit...
"Paul and Sean have a gorgeous hotel, very new, clean, great views of forest, ocean, and horses. It was majestic. It’s small in size, peaceful, and spacious with a nice pool area with a bar. The breakfast was good and the coffee. Taxis got me to Esperanza where there was a beach, tours, and restaurants. I like the quiet nature of Vieques and this wonderful gem on a hilltop."
"What a spectacular place to stay in Vieques! It’s only a ten minute drive to Esperanza and not much longer to head back to the ferry on the other side of the island. The resort is a short drive to the best beaches and, when you just want to be mellow at home, you can go to a morning yoga class, swim in the pool or just hang out and read.
The property is beautiful and the design of each building /room is truly unique (genius). We had an outdoor shower with a view and a terrace that we...
"We stayed for 4 nights here and overall the stay was pleasant. The hosts were communicative and gave very clear instructions on check-in/check-out. The apartment had 2 bedrooms 2 baths and came with a washer/ dryer which was a huge plus. It is a quiet neighborhood. Everything was functional. They left books for reading, card games, plenty of towels and toiletries. My one and only complaint was there were ants in the kitchen and in one of the bathrooms. Not sure if this is a seasonal thing and it...
"Excellent place to stay! The place is lovely and everything is better than expected! I like the decorations all over the unit but hope there would be more empty room for guests. The kitchen counter is small and an extension would be appreciated. "
"Property was great and the hosts were very nice. Our only recommendations would be having beach chairs available and a softer bed. Other than that this is a quaint little property!! "
"The place is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and very cozy. The hotel itself is extremely cute. However there’s cameras everywhere, no sign on privacy and the rules are to the extreme.
Would I book again, probably not. "

"The pool was awesome. The staff was amazing. Especially liked the main bar bartenders, Ruben and Raymond. They were great guys to talk with, and made our experience a lot more fun! Rooms were always clean and beds were very comfortable. Only bad thing there was the no-seeum bugs that bite like crazy.... we would definitely return! "

The property is beautiful and the design of each building /room is truly unique (genius). We had an outdoor shower with a view and a terrace that we especially enjoyed in the late afternoon after we came back from the beach. We loved our view from Solaris 2. The open space (no glass in the windows) is an amazing concept - it was so lovely to enjoy the fresh air and trade winds in January. It’s also special to go to sleep to the sounds of the coqui (little tree frogs) and crickets. Even though it rained a little every night, the inside of the room never got wet. There’s a little mesh tent around the bed, but we never needed it because there weren’t mosquitos or other bugs. I think it helped that we didn’t leave lights on when we were out to dinner. We also loved that the room came with a fully stocked kitchen and dining table, so we could enjoy breakfast there every day. I also want to note how friendly and helpful everyone was at Hix Island House. I would highly recommend staying there and would gladly return.

"I stayed in Puerto Rico by myself and this property was absolutely convenient and close by took everything I needed for my very short stay I recommend the surfing turtle to anyone who wants to feel like a local! The police station is right around the corner not that you need it. Food was accessible right across the street with a great breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend the surf surfing turtle! "
"We got a last minute call where Wyndham tried to send us to a totally different hotel in Rio Grande nowhere near this one however we insisted on staying at this location and were still able to. That was annoying I won’t lie but the stay itself more than made up for our initial frustration. The staff, location, rooms, pools, property in general, all were beyond incredible! We will definitely be back! "
