"Pleasant stay. Came in late September and stayed on first floor. Room was a bit warm so we opened the windows, which helped a lot but let in a lot of noise from patrons below. Couldn’t imagine how stifling it would be in the height of summer. Room decor was dated, but added to the charm. Fantastic location in the middle of town. Very walkable city. Lots of people out on a Thursday night. Nice vibe. Staff was very friendly."

We especially loved Erika, who we called because we were lost in our car’s navigation trying to find it. "The Savoia Excelsior is super conveniently located right at the city center and in the water-front. It's location is for sure it's most attractive quality. The staff is friendly but not as attentive as I would have expected. the rooms are comfortable but I feel they could get "refreshed" a bit. The bathrooms are wonderful but the showers tend to be a bit messy as the window is too short to keep the water out of the bathroom floor.
