RARE FIND! Guest House in downtown Village of Put-in-Bay!

PRIME CENTRAL LOCATION NEAR EVERYTHING!
Aunt Jane’s Rentals are in the heart of downtown Put in Bay just 1/2 block from the Round House! Just steps to the Monument, beach, docks, and all the shops, restaurants, pools, bars, and clubs - NO CAB RIDES or designated driver needed!

Plus, bring your own food and drinks and eat better for less! Fully equipped kitchen, BBQ grill, wetbar, dining and picnic tables. We provide pillows, blankets + comforters; you bring sheets and towels.

We will try to MEET OR BEAT the rate of comparable rentals! But our location simply cannot be beat. Places located even slightly farther away will require your group to plan trips in and out of downtown, and dramatically change your experience. Look us up on the Map to see how you will be right in the middle of all the fun and activities!

THE HOUSE
This two-story house has three bedrooms with seven queen-sized beds, and two convertible futon sofas in the living room. There are two baths, one with a tub and the other with a stall shower. The fully equipped kitchen includes full-sized refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, pots, pans, dishes, basic utensils, and tableware. There is a propane grill with gas supplied and a picnic table in the front grass yard. There is no access to the back area which is for staff only.

The rental includes free wifi, and there is a flat-screen TV with Roku service (please note we are on an island and cannot be responsible for problems related to third-party service providers).

Ideal for family reunions, birthdays, bachelor, bachelorette and wedding parties, and other special events. We are one of the few places downtown that will allow "self-hosted" parties on the premises; be sure to mention that you are planning an event when shopping around because some locations will shut you down, force you to use their services, or actively “police" your event.

GUEST ACCESS
Enjoy the large private yard with picnic table and grill. Hang out on the open front porch to watch all the action go by, or relax on the screened rear porch. Includes parking for two vehicles (on the driveway) and one space for a rented golf cart (on the grass). Other vehicles will have to park off the property in public parking areas such as the Miller Ferry lot, as available. There is a staff apartment and storage shed in the back which may or may not be used by our personnel during your stay but which are off-limits to guests.

Aunt Jane's has multiple contiguous rentals adjacent to this house also available for larger parties or if more beds, baths, or other facilities are desired. Guests of any particular rental are generally not allowed access to portions of the property that are not a designated part of that rental, including non-common rental spaces and yards rented to other Tenants, staff apartments, facility maintenance areas, storage sheds, and any other area that may be designated as off-limits by staff, such as during construction or maintenance.

PETS
Most pets OK with advance notice and/or deposit. You must agree to accept full responsibility and indemnify us from any liability related to the animal, and reimburse for any and all damage. You will need to “curb” the dog and all waste must be cleaned up immediately so as not to affect any other guests. You will be responsible for taking care of the animal at all times and may not allow it to create any disturbance, including barking. Please note the yards are not completely fenced and there is a leash ordinance in the Village.

THE SMALL PRINT
Because you will be staying in the actual Village of Put-in-Bay, rentals are subject to resort fees and taxes. Please note that due to the complexity of the calculations, the resort tax (RAGRET) is already included in the nightly rate shown by this website, while the remaining taxes are calculated by the site itself and included as part of the final total charge indicated. The final amount shown by the site is the total amount you will pay including all taxes and fees.

To calculate the RAGRET, divide the nightly rate shown by 1.015. After you book the reservation, we'll send a breakdown showing the exact pre-tax rental rate and the various applicable taxes and fees which were added.

DEPOSIT

We will try our best to fulfill your unit request but we reserve the right to substitute a comparable rental unit. At check-in, you agree to inspect the rental unit and to accept the same in its present “AS IS” condition, unless you notify the Property Manager (at 310-800-3922) of any defects within one (1) hour of check-in. While we will make every effort to respond to any problems that arise during your stay in a timely manner, there is no credit or refund if the unit is not to your satisfaction, or if some non-essential item such as an air conditioner, internet service, television, or grill is not functioning properly. We are not responsible for outages of utilities, internet, or other services supplied to the premises.

No fish cleaning on premises. No kegs of beer inside unit.

Unless otherwise arranged in advance, Check In must arrive after 4:00 PM. NO EARLY CHECK-IN without advance arrangements and permission from management; early arrival that disrupts the prior tenant or cleaning crew will result in extra charges. The guest who actually booked the reservation must check in before other guests will be permitted inside the unit, unless otherwise arranged with management. Check Out is at 11AM; late check out that disrupts the next tenant or cleaning crew will result in extra charges.

We wish for all to have a good time, but please be considerate during your stay. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 10:00 am. At management’s discretion, any disruptive activity requiring management involvement including but not limited to addressing complaints from neighbors or activity which results in the police coming to the premises, shall be grounds for eviction with no refund, and/or retention of your entire Security Deposit.

Water resources are limited on the island. Please do not use additional beds unnecessarily. Extra cleaning charges may be incurred if beds are used beyond the normal expected use by listed occupants. Please conserve water (management suggests showering together when desirable).

Personal property and other items left behind in the Rental Property after your rental will be deemed abandoned and disposed of at your expense, at Property Manager’s discretion, without liability to you or any other person.

Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

Book with property insurance
This place was extremely dirty when we arrived, and were charged with numerous cleaning fees after we left which were not our fault. If you book this place I recommend purchasing the accidental damage protection because these owners will nickel and dime you.

Great Place
We had a great time! The location was so close to downtown and convenient to everything. My 75 yr old mom stayed along with my adult children, their significant others and two dogs. Plenty of space for all of us! Property management was awesome and very communicative. We happened to arrive shortly after a water main break happened on the island and they texted us to let us know and helped me with directions to get to the house because the way my gps was taking me was blocked due to the water main break. They were very communicative about when the water was expected on and the order the island was restoring water. They apologized several times for the inconvience but it was not their fault at all! They kept in communiction as the water was turned back on and how long to boil the water They also provided us with water. I would stay here again and would recommend this house and Aunt Jane's to anyone looking to rent on the island!

The location saved this place.
The first night we arrived on the island we had to wait for about 30 minutes to actually get inside the home. Owner had staff inside making repairs. Once we were able to get into the property we noticed the fridge wasn’t getting very cold but just assumed it was because it was turned down so low. Several hours go by and our ice is melting in the freezer, our food is going bad and the only option we’re given was to wait until the morning to have a new fridge brought over. Next morning all 8 adults are waiting around for someone to bring us a new fridge, we were waiting till about 9 am before we broke down and called. While on the phone the owner persisted to tell me I was a lier, that her staff would never tell us we would have to wait. At this point I’m fuming because how dare you speak to a paying customer in that manner. It wasn’t until the owner realized I was the one that rented the property that her tone had changed. She then went on for several minutes as to why she can’t believe the fridge stopped working but the freezer still does, like literally 20 minutes. I was over the conversation at that point, shared I didn’t care the reasoning, I just wanted a working fridge. Fast forward we finally received a fridge after about 30 minutes of waiting and guess where it goes.. the living room.. of all places. However annoying I was grateful to save some of our food. While the owner is still inside the property we share with her about the electrical , she assures us it’s a simple fix, replacing the bulb. Okay, great that’s easy enough right? Wrong, it blew again and continued to during the length of our stay. We became acquainted with our neighbors beside us who happened to be owned but the same person. After a few minutes of conversation between the two houses, we find out they are also without a working fridge but the men didn’t care, they only had beer. The only thing that saved that rental is location. It needs a COMPLETE update before I’d book again. I’d deal with the lovely owner again as well. It was just so close to everything you could be in the middle of the action but far enough away from all of the riftrwf of the night life. Overall I’d rent if those things are done.
