in a peaceful countryside setting on the edge of the small village of Llannor. The cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the coastal towns of Pwllheli, Abersoch, and Criccieth, and the many lovely beaches and bays of Pen Llŷn. It's just a short hop to some of the region's best attractions including Portmeirion, Zip World, and the Welsh Highland Steam Railway.
There's no doubt that this large stone cottage with hot tub and sea views comes with some serious wow factor. It's gorgeous. Recently restored to create a supremely comfortable 21st century holiday hideaway, it is bright and inviting, packed full of original features, and beautifully presented throughout.
As well as that double ensuite bedroom on the ground floor, you'll find a large living room with exposed beams, original stonework, and wood flooring. Supremely comfortable plush sofas are arranged around an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. It's a really convivial space. From the living room, you can walk through to a stunning oak conservatory - this is a real showstopper, looking out across rolling parkland and countryside to the sea, with views of Ynysoedd Tudwal / the Tudwal Islands. Double doors open out from the conservatory onto a terrace, with a large lawned garden beyond.
The kitchen is another very impressive space. Featuring a large range cooker as well as smart granite worktops and slate flooring, it has all the kit and caboodle you could possibly need. There is an oak dining table to seat 14, and an additional breakfast bar seating area. Bifold doors open out onto the garden terrace, ideal for al fresco dining. Also on the ground floor, you'll find a handy separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, a downstairs loo and separate shower room.
On the first floor of this magnificent large stone cottage with hot tub and sea views, there are four beautiful double bedrooms, including one ensuite. There is also a large ‘double twin' room with four single beds - ideal for the children - and two good sized family bathrooms, one with roll top bath, and the other with a large walk-in shower. On the second floor you'll find a ‘secret' large snug lounge, with giant beanbags and plasma TV. Perfect for the children or teenagers to find some private space of their own.
The house sits in around four acres of grounds, which include a small lake (fenced in) and mature parkland. The indoor living space extends into the garden via an inviting dining terrace adjacent to the conservatory, and a well-established south and west facing lawned garden. There is a fantastic hot tub with plenty of room for a gang. It is a supremely peaceful and beautiful setting, a great place to sit back and contemplate the view.
To the rear of the cottage is an attractive courtyard, which offers ample parking for guests. You'll also find a large games room out there (it's more of a barn), with a pool table, ping pong, darts, sofas and assorted other games. Perfect.
