A great country villa!
We loved our stay at the villa in the beautiful countryside in Chianti hills. The house has so much history and a personal feeling in a beautiful surrounding. We found all the necessary equipment in the house and the BBQ was nice. The kids enjoyed the pool and while the adults could relax in the garden without any worry. Mauro, the owner, was very responsive and accommodating to all our questions and concerns and made us feel welcome. We would love to go back and highly recommend Mauro and his villa!

Beautiful home in the perfect setting and location in Chianti region
We stayed for a week here in September 2018. The property is situated in a quiet, peaceful area that is so conveniently located to many of the small villages and wineries in the Chianti region. The area is even more beautiful than I had hoped for and imagined. it is a very close drive to Castellina, Radda and Volpaia and we also did day trips to San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Florence and Siena. We had amazing warm weather in September and enjoyed sitting by the pool in the afternoon. We were only 2 couples but the mansion definitely could hold more very comfortably. The kitchen is well equipped. We usually did breakfast at the house and we even arranged for an Italian cooking class right at the property and it was wonderful. Mauro, the owner, is very kind and so attentive in responding to any questions that you have. Dino, the gardener, lives in the bottom quarters - he is a very nice man but we hardly saw him. It was our first time in the Chianti region and I'm sure we will be back and when we return we hope to stay at this beautiful property! Thank you Mauro.

The photos do not do it justice
Mauro is multi-lingual with Italian, English and French at least, as can be seen from the reviews. He is quick to respond via email with any questions and is quite helpful with suggestions. Knowledge of Italian helps with Ali, the groundskeeper, and Daniela the person in charge of the transfer of keys and property, but I am sure sign/hand language works as well. Everything is as advertised and better. The interior is actually much nicer than the photos represent and the exterior is as beautiful as it looks in pictures. A game changer is the pool. It was very hot while we were there and dipping in that immaculately clean and cool body of water was a lifesaver. After this experience on Colepetroso I do not think we would rent an Italian property during the summer without a pool. The interior of the house is exceptionally clean and split into three levels. The bottom level, which you enter to the right of the house as you view the photo, is not directly connected to the top two floors. This bottom level can sleep up to seven, with two on a fold out futon. The top level sleeps five with two large beds in separate bedrooms (one on the first floor and one on the top floor), and a single bed on the top floor. Bathrooms/toilets/showers are distributed with one per floor (one on the top floor, one on the first floor, and one in the bottom flat). The kitchen area, which is large and fully equipped with dish washer, fridge, stove, oven, sink, and plates/cookware/glasses, etc., is in the main top section of the house, with a bar-b-que outside. There is also a washing machine and portable clothes lines/hangers. We had eleven people including four children ranging from 7-12 years old and never felt cramped. Of course the kids loved the pool. Ali, a gem of a man, keeps everything in great condition and is up early taking care of the pool and the vegetation, arranging things and so on. As one of my friends said, "Ali is the perfect person for this job (he lives on the property) because he is around when you need him and gone when you do not." He even brought a TV outside so we could watch the Euro soccer/football match between Italy and Germany one evening! Very cool. There is no air conditioning, but during the day you have the pool and at night, owing to the elevation of about 600 meters, you get a nice cool breeze. The property is about half way between Radda and Castellina, maybe 8k either way. We liked Radda best, a small complete Tuscan hill town .

Nice house
We spent 10 relaxing days with two families. Nice house and friendly landlord. The garden was a bit smaller than expected and the lower flat is relatively dark. The location is great for day trips in the chianti region.

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und liegt wunderschön in den toskanischen Hügeln.
Guten Kontakt zum Vermieter, Probleme wurden in kürzester Zeit gelöst. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass die Ausstattung für Familien mit Kleinkindern verbesserungswürdig ist. Obwohl auf den Bildern des Ferienobjektes Kinderbetten abgebildet waren, wäreen diese nur gegen Zahlung von 100€ verfügbar gewesen. Bei noch verbleibenden 5 Tagen war das nicht akzeptabel. Zudem: wenn schon abgebildet, sollten sie auch im Mietpreis inkludiert sein. Aber das ist wirklich der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt, ansonsten erfüllt das Ferienhaus alle Wünsche für einen erholsamen Urlaub.

Belle propriété, belle emplacement. Petit bémol pour la piscine qui est une piscine hors sol, la connection wifi inexistante. Et, dommage qu’à l’arrivée , nous avons du attendre presque une heure que le ménage soit terminé . Il est écrit que l’heure d’arivée est 16h30. Nous avons pu accéder qu’à presque 17h30.

Nice villa, plenty of space , pool and outside area a little tired. No WiFi or satellite as promised. Very hot in villa , fans not provided , politely suggest that they should be for future guests . Lovely villa
This has been a wonderful property to stay at for our visit with my whole family. Italy is having a heat wave thus with the warm temperatures the pool was a lifesaver. Radda and Castellini in Chianti are both charming towns. This home was a perfect base for our ten days in beautiful Tuscany,

BEAUTY BEYOND YOUR WILDEST DREAMS !
I rented this lovely residence for the month of August, 2017 and along with many family members and friends, enjoyed it greatly for the whole time. Their visits were planned at varying times so that we never exceeded the capacity or felt ourselves crowded in any way. We brought both sun tan lotion and insect repellent and made good use of them. At times, the mosquitoes were not to be seen, other times, the spray was a good investment and kept them from spoiling our fun. Significant high points: Ali - while titled as groundskeeper, he is so much more. Very eager to please and help you enjoy your stay to the fullest yet never intrusive. While he speaks no English, he will help you in learning Italian if you will let him ! (sign language plus persistence) We found our knowledge of Spanish helpful (many similar words) but not a cure-all. Ali was hugely responsible for our wonderful vacation here. Castellina in Chianti - Only a few minutes away by car, this charming, scenic town is full of friendly merchants - bakeries, fruit and veggie merchants, gelato shops (A MUST ! ) . Recommend you shop frequently for farm-fresh edibles; don't overbuy. For U.S. supermarket types, try COOP (also in Radda). Learn and obey the local parking regulations, wherever you go in Tuscany. Radda in Chianti - Only a few minutes farther than Castellina with similar shopping facilities and great views. Find 2 places to sit and rest when you tire: one overlooking verdant valleys, another in a busy pedestrian street just to peoplewatch. Firenze (Florence) - about an hour's drive away. High level of arts & culture, museums, etc. Not to be missed if you're new to the area. Plenty of info available. Wine - Why did you come to Chianti country if not for this ? All 3 towns above have info on visits to wineries, tasting locations, etc. Chianti Classico is terrific but even some of the local, less expensive wines are great. 2 Supertuscan wines ($$$$), at towns located not too far away: 1. Montalcino (Brunello de M.); 2. Montepulciano (Vino nobile de M. ) Mansion Owner: Mauro Pescarini, Retired Italian Army General Very friendly gentleman whose English is like my Italian, not too great ! E-mail contact is best, translate language by smartphone/computer. NOTE:July/August-hot months. USE POOL ! I bought 3 fans and left them for future guests use. Usually not needed at night due to cool breezes. THIS IS A WONDERFUL PLACE...ENJOY IT ! ! !

Rustic Charm Nestled in the Hills of Chianti
We just returned from a week visit and found our accommodations to be rustic and charming. The house was clean, had comfortable furnishings and many convenient appliances (iron, blow dryers, coffee makers etc.). While there is no air conditioning, there was always a nice breeze through the windows and the temperature was reasonable except 1-2 nights when it was unseasonably hot. The kitchen was modern and well stocked with dinnerware and cookware. The caregiver was very kind and attentive and although he does not speak a word of English, he still proved to be helpful and delightful. The location, while very rural, was convenient to two towns with lots of restaurants and shopping. All in all, the view and the setting were very peaceful and beautiful and we enjoyed our stay very much! Here are some things I wished I had known before I went. Internet is not included so I brought my own mifi device but the service was very limited. Expect to see critters such as lizards and bugs. The roads through the hills are VERY curvy and not good for people (such as my daughter) who get car sick.

Tolles Haus in der Toskana
Sehr schönes Haus, tolles Ambiente, toller Poll , alles in allem sehr ansprechendes Urlaubsdomizil. Sehr netter Hausmeister der immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Sich jedoch in keiner Weise aufdrängt und durchaus auch uns sehr hilfreich war. Überaus sauberes Haus in gutem Zustand. Kleiner Nachteil: nicht alle Zimmer sind gleichwertig zu beurteilen. Die Zimmer in den beiden oberen Geschossen ( 5 Betten) sind wesentlich attraktiver als die sich im Untergeschoß befindlichen ( 6 Betten). Vermieter, Betreuung und Angaben durchaus korrekt und hilfreich. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Sehr schöne Ferien im Herzen der Toskana
Wir haben uns (7 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind) die zwei Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt. Das sehr gepflegte Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wie im Online-Inserat beschrieben. Es ist alles denkbare im Haus vorhanden, und der Pool mit Garten ist sehr schön angelegt. Die Nachbarn mit denen wir Kontakt hatten sind sehr (gast-)freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden selbst wieder das Haus mieten, oder es Freunden weiter empfehlen. Hervorzuheben ist das nahe gelegene Restaurant "La Cantoniera", in dem es bodenständige toskanische Küche und Pizzen gibt. Das Essen dort ist immer gut und die Bedienung familiär-freundlich.

Ruhig und schön
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dem sehr sauberen und sehr gepflegten Haus und haben den Urlaub genossen. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet (auch für Kleinkind geeignet). Eine große Hilfe ist der rund um die Uhr zur Verfügung stehende "Hausmeister". Auch sehr zu empfehlen ist das ganz in der Nähe befindliche Ristorante "La Cantoniera", welches solide toskanische Küche und Pizzas zu attraktiven Preisen anbietet.

Una settimana di vacanza davvero bella
Casale molto bello e pulito. Molto curato l'arredamento. Il giardino è delizioso. Abbiamo soggiornato nel casale una settimana in agosto con un gruppo di amici. Il servizio fornito prevedeva anche la pulizia giornaliera della piscina. La casa è all'interno di un borgo ristrutturato e comodo a gite fuori porta come Siena, San Gimignano e Certaldo. Consigliato per gli amanti delle vacanze enogastronomiche.

Très agréable
Maison grande et très agréable. Ancienne mais avec un équipement moderne. Parfaite pour une ou deux familles. Idéalement placée entre Florence et sienne. Piscine pour se détendre après les visites ou toute la journée. Propriétaire parlant français (ce qui était pratique pour nous qui ne parlons pas un mot d italien). Gardien tres gentil qui nous a fait découvrir son potager et l'italien! Nous recommandons!

calme et magnifique
Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette charmante maison toscane authentique, et très propre. Notre gardien, Ali, était très prévenant et à l'affut de nos besoins en toute discrétion. la maison est très bien placée, au calme avec une vue ... toscane. L'équipement est à la hauteur, cuisine et salles d'eau. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine (un peu fraiche!). Une excellente adresse pour vivre la Toscane.

Maison avec beaucoup de charme (vieille pierre, décoration soignée) et belle piscine, de taille idéale pour une famille avec 4 enfants; très bien entretenue.
