"Easy to get to, quiet remote-ish lake locale with full time residents living on same lane. Lake access is accurate - this lake and most residents have many stairs and this one was no exception but owner described this so no surprises there. The Kitchen and main living areas are on separate floors with entrances for each so was not an issue for us- each have access to decks. One of the upstairs rooms has private deck perfect for morning coffee and view of cove. this is not direct access to lake...

"The property is a remodeled older home. It is located on the far end of Claytor Lake. The property is situated on a hillside with a fairly steep slope. The house is around 1500 sq feet with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is a well equipped kitchen a separate dining room and a large family room with fireplace. "The property was roomy, very clean, and well-appointed. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook. Plus there is a grill outside. Outside, you have three decks to lounge on and gaze at the beautiful view of the lake. We saw deer and made a fire near the floating dock. The weekend was relaxing and a way to reconnect with family.
