"Room was small but very tidy, it had everything we needed. Bed wasn’t the comfiest but ok for one night. The view was amazing, high over other houses the countryside stretched for miles. Don’t book if you don’t like heights. Unfortunately there was something making a noise all night (heating, A/C, water) I don’t know what but it sounded like a heart beat all night long and kept me awake. Check in was super easy, the bar/ restaurant was clean and friendly. The breakfast was really good the staff...

"We loved the hotel, we thought the staff were friendly and helpful. Knocked a star off for the food, as an expensive meal that was very average. We pre ordered our wine in the bar for dinner but came half way through the main course, and we had to ask for it. Oysters were delicious and so was one of the puddings. At breakfast eggs were great but rest of food on plate was too salty to eat. So this just took edge off the whole experience. "

"Third time we have stayed here. Very convienient, nice breakfast, friendly staff. The let down was Room 12 which has restricted head room which is a particular issue if you wake at night. Was not aware of this when booking though now ive looked at reviews, others have commented on the same issue. Will definately stay again, just not in that room."

We were two small families so a house shower room would have been good rather than having to go in to one of the other bedrooms for a shower etc not a massive deal if your one family and there is an extra toilet! "Host (James) was really nice and welcoming. I had a single room with its own bathroom which was perfect and clean - it had everything - tv, shower sink and toilet - a small built in wardrobe to hang clothes, a desk and chair and a bed with a bedside table. There was a good selection of teas and coffees and was given fresh milk for the room on arrival. Location was a short 10-15 minute walk into the city centre and its even closer to the seafront (hoe). Would definately stay again. Thanks...
