This cottage is off the beaten path but very nice. Views from the house are breathtaking from the house and the trails. The new hot tub on the front patio was our go to sunset location. We grilled out on the patio almost every night as well. The hosts were exceptionally attentive and made sure we had anything and everything we needed. Definitely a place to come back to.

Cozy Cabin at Torch Lake
Husband, son and I had a lovely time here. Everything was as described/pictured and the cabin was very clean. We especially enjoyed being out on the deck - a hummingbird visited the flower boxes on the deck a couple of mornings. We also rented the pontoon boat for a day, highly recommend. Both Dale and Mike were super helpful. As other reviewers noted, the dirt road up to the cabin is a little tricky (some deep sand in places) but our front wheel drive van was fine. Water heater makes noise only when hot water is running, so not a big deal. Overall: hubs said this cabin might be his favorite VRBO place yet! Thanks Dale & Mike!

Great views, clean and secluded
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The hosts were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is a little older but very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was amazing and so were the views. We had several visits from deer, turkey, rabbits, and chipmunks. We rented the pontoon boat for a day on Torch Lake which was beautiful. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to get away. You are close to several trails and tourist activities. And just far enough away to enjoy some serenity.

Dale was wonderful & excellent communication! Property was very nice & veiw was amazing! This getaway was beyond over due!! Honestly not the vacation I really wanted, but it turned out to be EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!! With things the way they are currently we did not want to leave the country. But none the less we had a relaxing & enjoyable time. My husband & I along with our 2 dogs made the trip. This was the first time we traveled with our furbabies. They did amazing, loved all of nature & all the new smells. Our big guy even went down with his daddy to meet the cows Dale has. The cabin was well kept & the hot tub was amazing!! Cabin was well stocked with essential & even some extras that past visitors left. I do definitely look forward to coming back. On the night before we were leaving, I just sat out on the deck watched the sunset, listened to the peaceful sounds. I reflected on how the past few years have been for me. I smiled thankfully for all I have & even cried for all I have overcome!

Beautiful, private little cabin with a view
My husband and I along with our 4 children (ages 6-10) stayed in the cabin for a winter getaway over their winter break. The kids loved sleeping in the loft bedroom! It had 4 beds and was perfect for them. The cabin sits on top of a hill on a huge chunk of property. It was private and peaceful with gorgeous views. We especially loved the hot tub. It sits on a deck overlooking the property and the lake. The hot tub was also very clean and is drained and cleaned between guests. The cabin was conveniently located to Traverse City, lakes, ski resorts, and most importantly, Bubbie's Bagels. The owners were wonderful, and here is an example of exactly how wonderful. We were headed to Boyne one afternoon and turned left out of the driveway down a dirt road and got stuck. We were able to get the car unstuck but couldn't get enough traction to get back up the hill. We called the owner, hoping for advice on who to call for a tow, but instead, he came out right away in his truck along with two of his employees to help tow us out. They quickly got us back up the hill and could not have been kinder or more helpful. They salvaged our afternoon and we were still able to make it to Boyne to enjoy the Sky Bridge. There wasn't any snow while we were there, but the property would've been perfect for snowshoeing, sledding, or enjoying a hike. We also enjoyed seeing the Highlander cows at the bottom of the hill who had just had a baby. It was a great trip and we would gladly go back.
