Swim, scuba or snorkel in some of the most pristine waters in the world. Relax in a beach bungalow and awake to views of the blue-green lagoon.

Titikaveka is a small village on the southeastern coast of Rarotonga. Relax in a waterfront bungalow, wade in warm water, swim with multicolored fish, see fascinating marine life or simply spend days relaxing on this stretch of Cook Islands coast.

Wake in a bungalow to views of the serene lagoon. Enjoy a breakfast of fresh tropical fruit before walking barefoot along Titikaveka Beach. Bring your flippers, snorkel and mask to see a variety of tropical fish species in the warm waters. Join a sailing tour out to the reef and launch off the side of the boat with scuba gear to see reef fish, sea urchins, clams, crabs and live coral formations.

Wander down the paths of the peaceful Maire Nui Botanical Gardens and explore the protected rainforest at Takitumu Conservation Area. Rest on a beach before stopping at the café to try a locally grown coffee. Other inland hikes include Papua Waterfall Track, Raemaru Lookout and Turangi Track. Be sure to bring walking shoes, as the inland terrain can be uneven.

Explore the local attractions elsewhere on Rarotonga. See contemporary and traditional arts at the Beachcomber Gallery, shop for black pearls at the Beachcomber Pearl Market and pick up arts and crafts, tropical fruits and vegetables as well as local culinary treats at the Punanga Nui Market in Avatiu. Notice the impact Christian missionaries have had on island culture at the many Cook Islands Christian Churches (CICC) across the island.

After you enjoy the laid-back daytime atmosphere of the Cook Islands, savor a lively traditional Polynesian dinner buffet with cultural dance and musical performance.

Titikaveka is located in southeast Rarotonga, a 15-minute drive from the airport in the north. The island is easy to navigate via the 45-minute round-Rarotonga bus ride with alternating clockwise and counterclockwise routes around the island. Rent a car, scooter or bicycle to explore at your own pace.
