"This flat is simply the perfect base from which to explore Edinburgh. It's super clean and quiet (though the upstairs neighbor can be loud, bring earplugs), has all the amenities you need, the wee garden is beautiful (such a restful oasis in the midst of a bustling city!), and it's extremely conveniently located close to all the major sights, bus tours, shopping, parks... The only thing we'd suggest is that they provide an extra set of sheets and a duvet so you can use the pull out couch. There...

"After a long drive to get there it was lovely to dump the cases and get into the hot tub. The accommodation was better than expected and we both enjoyed our stay there. We were told that the drive was a wee bit tight but other than that, no issues"

Only issue was high back chair that was damaged with no note to say it had been noticed and or reported, we emailed Cottages.com but no reply ! Our dog loved the garden, Coorie by the sea for doggie breakfast. we will certainly return again soon & Thank you"

"Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips."

"Lovely cottage set on several acres. 1 km walk to train station for easy ride into Edinburgh or anywhere else. Hosts were extremely accomodating and friendly. We enjoyed our stay immensely."

The manager/owner and I have had a constructive dialogue which I hope will improve his property, specifically, buying new mattresses (as the current ones are soft and sinking), adding hangers to the wardrobe, adding hooks for damp towels to hang, and, fixing the leak from the bathroom that resulted in damp conditions in the larger of the two bedrooms. Manager/owner was responsive to my concerns and cooperative. "
