"Property very tastefully furnished, friendly hosts (who speak very little English). OK for 2 people, would be a bit tight for 4. Major issues with swimming pool (out of action for 5 of our 14 days), with water pressure (20 mins for shower to warm up and then only a dribble), extremely loud and frequently barking dog. Although located in a side street it is adjacent to a major road - plenty of traffic noise during the day. Location convenient for Etna and the sites on the east side of the island."

"We loved our stay at Villa Etna Mare. The setting is amazing with the most wonderful views of Mount Etna and the coast. The villa is very well equipped with a great outdoor cooking area. The drive up to the villa is quite a drive! but the instructions from Michael meant that you knew exactly where you were and therefore didn't miss any turnings! "My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Villa Paradisio for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. We had junior suite with a balcony and a great view of Mount Etna and the sea. the hotel is high up and the view is great! I also liked the extra size in the room because we were on an extended trip and were able to easily store our luggage and clothes etc. The feel of the room is that you are in classic Italy. The breakfast buffet was excellent with great expresso drinks made to order- all with an incredible view. Perhaps the greatest feature of the hotel is the staff who really took care of us - including making local reservations, making sure our car arrived on time, having recommendations on what to see around Taormina. Giuseppe and the staff in the breakfast area were a delight. I felt like we were staying with family in Italy - that's how great the staff was."

"This was our best stay in a 3-week Sicily trip. On arrival we were greeted by Nino who checked us into a very nice room(it actually had a chandelier). Later we met Martina and she chatted with us and provided great suggestions over the 2-3 days we were there. And then Marta made us all kinds of drinks in the evening. The villa is gorgeous and the breakfast was amazing (including made to order eggs). I recommend this place heartily."

"We stayed in an apartment that I think isn't apart of the main hotel. It is off-season so the main hotel was closed. The view is incredible and makes you feel like you never want to leave. It felt like staying at an apartment more than a hotel since there isn't concierge or anything like that. I would recommend for anyone to say here as you can't beat the location. "
