To start with, access to this property during the winter is simply unsafe. You access the property from the back yard. While snow and ice may not be normal in DC, during our stay there was a lot of ice that was not cleared. Very slippery and unsafe. You enter the property through the lower level deck that was very icy. Once in the sliding patio door, you are greeted by vinyl plank flooring with no rugs, so the snow and ice on your shoes melts and runs all over the floor. Now for the cleanliness, when we used paper towels to wipe up the water, the white paper towel turns black from the dirt on the floors. Even though they charge a 179 cleaning fee. I doubt they hire anyone to clean the place. We found hair present on tables, floors, etc. The bathroom had tons of "personal" hair in various places. I have the photos. The property lists itself as pet friendly, but do not disclose any pet fees. But, after you are booked and then only 24 hours before check in, do they ask if you have any pets and how many. Then, they spring the 25 per pet, per day fee on you. So, 2 dogs for 4 days costs you an additional 200 that you hadn't expected. Oh, and the bed? There was a bottom sheet and a very thin covering on top. I'd call it a thick top sheet. They probably say it is a comforter, but it was a thick sheet. We had to go to Walmart and buy a comforter set. Again, it was probably unusually cold in DC, but the entire space was very cold. No thermostat in the space.
