Lovely rooms

Lovely room. Only just opened rooms 5 weeks ago, so very new. A few tweaks needed, which I informed staff of, and will hopefully be done. Fantastic shower with rainwater head and a traditional shower head. Good position half way between town and harbour. Be aware coffee in room is ground and for the cafetière. No instant coffee. Breakfast is between 10am and 11am if you require a cooked breakfast. There are croissants, fruit and juice in the room if you need something earlier. Not a cheap option, but a lovely stay.

STAYED FOR TWO NIGHTS IN DECEMBER, ALL GOOD AND CLEAN WITH FRIENDLY STAFF AND GOOD BREAKFAST, GREAT VIEWS AND CLEAN SPACIOUS ROOM...THE ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS THE BAR AND RESTAURANT CLOSED AT 5PM NO ONE ELSE ON SITE SO IT IS REALLY SELF CONTAINED ACCOMMODATION WITH NO FACILITIES AFTER 5PM AND A GOOD WALK INTO TOWN FOR A DRINK AND FOOD

We had a weekend stay in Room 3 at The Sail Loft. Location wise, everything in Southwold was in easy walking distance and a great base for the weekend. The room is situated above the bar, and at times could be loud, but overall this didn’t concern us. Everywhere was clean and spotless and the included breakfast was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again!

Very individual character. I loved the use of reclaimed wood throughout the building. Staff very friendly and efficient. Excellent breakfast. Brilliant location, practically on the beach. Lovely outdoor area for a casual drink. Enjoyed local beer. Luxurious room, but would have liked a safe, fridge and wardrobe deep enough to hang dresses. Definitely will return

Nice pleasant staff. Location was good. Nice a quiet surroundings apart from the extractor that was outside our bedroom window meant we could not have the windows open early morning.

Nice room but noisy

The room was very nice, large room with huge bed & lovely bathroom. If staying more than a few days it needs a wardrobe as the only place to clothes was on some hooks on the wall. Most of the staff pleasant enough. Location is good & would be very quiet as not much passing traffic but as our room was over the bar/restaurant it was very noisy all day & evening, not just when it was busy but the music being played was very loud (not live bands, just music).

The room had amazing views on both sides. Out to sea one side and across the Golf course on the other. There were lovely little extras like fresh coffee and a bowl of fresh fruit in the room. The proprietors had clearly put a lot of thought into making our stay welcoming. Everything was beautifully clean. The restaurant has a varied menu if you always wanted to eat in house. The stairs to our room were steep which was okay for us but not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

Perfect location, friendly staff, beautiful room, fabulous breakfast (not a croissant wrapped in plastic as some reviews have said, but a range options, beautifully presented in the bar area of the restaurant). We had room number 1 which was very warm because it is above the kitchen. It was lovely and cosy in April when we stayed, but I can imagine would be too hot in the height of summer. Breakfast is at 9.30, which was fine for us.

Super Sail Loft

Great location across the road from the beach only a short walk into the town.Room very nice clean and comfortable.Breakfast absolutely gorgeous,also had dinner there what we had was good and service great.

Great beachfront stay

The hotel is in a great location opposite the beach and a ten minute walk from town either along the footpath or along the beach. We were in the top floor room which has views of the sand dunes and sea to the front and the marshes to the rear. Although they provide tea, coffee, juices and croissants in the room, they also provide a fantastic breakfast in the restaurant from 9.30am. For an evening meal I would also recommend the steak with Paris butter which was cooked to perfection. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, providing excellent service.
