"The hotel worked perfectly for what we needed. The lobby was not very big and the dining area closed a little early, which shut down our game nights, but overall it was good. "The property was unique in its location on a peninsula. It was interesting, warm, unique. Loved the in room sauna and private hot tub which we paid extra for. A major con is that we repeatedly had to chase other guests out of our PRIVATE hot tub. No dining options mid week and nothing really nearby. No microwave. "Our stay at this hotel over New year was nothing but a pleasure, from the minute we stepped into the hotel to the minute we left we were always welcomed. We even seen the northern lights on NYE! "The Marina Hotel is a GREAT place to stay in Reykjavik; it's close to the water and a marina, but also in walking distance to the center of town and has numerous amazing restaurants all in walking distance too; plus the bar/restaurant inside the Hotel is excellent also. It has a unique and very cozy style with a big fireplace inside the lobby, lots of different rooms for groups to gather if needed, and the staff is super nice. I enjoyed staying there very much for 5 days and would stay there again!"
