A True Nature Lover's Island Retreatw/Private Dock

Enjoy our secluded waterfront home on Cole's Island. Sleeping up to 8 guests, this haven is surrounded by nature, including large Spanish moss covered oak trees, and offers peace and tranquility for your group in the Lowcountry. Watch for dolphins and take in breathtaking water views with the floor-to-ceiling windows inside or enjoy the wrap around porch. Whether you're spending time on the water or simply unwinding away from it all indoors, our home is the perfect spot for your next getaway.

Experience a tranquil, exclusive island escape to Lowcountry, at this recently updated waterfront log cabin on a private land. Nestled in a remote area with under 100 other inhabitants on the whole island and surrounded by majestic oak trees draped in Spanish moss, our pet and family friendly beautiful home sleeps 8 and has floor to ceiling windows with stunning water views. Under an hour from Bluffton, Beaufort, Savannah, and Hilton Head, this is the perfect combination of a remote escape and beach vacation.

A fully stocked kitchen, modern amenities, and outdoor gas grill makes staying in and relaxing for meals a breeze, with plenty of seating for dining both indoors and out. With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, your group will have space for everyone to spread out. Enjoy your own private waterfront yard and dock for easy water access and embrace nature with birdwatching, fishing, or kayaking right at your doorstep. There is a plethora of wildlife to observe. One of our previous guests saw over 100 different species of birds in a weekend and of course dolphin sightings are our favorite! With us being remote, you may also see other kind of wildlife including snakes, sharks, deer, coyotes, and spiders—this is a truly nature-friendly home! Our home is the perfect spot for a quiet getaway, nature lovers, family vacation, or group trip.

Please note while we have recently updated this home, it is still over 50 years old. The bathrooms have not been majorly renovated and this is still a very secluded space. Bugs and wildlife should be expected.

Access to the home is a 10 minute drive from the main road, via a dirt road, where you can enjoy a picturesque drive through historic Good Hope Plantation (AWD or 4WD vehicle highly recommended year round). We also recommend arriving during daylight hours when checking in as there are no street lights on the dirt road.

If you want an evening out, you’re only 10 minutes from Ridgeland, where you can explore the town’s shopping, museums, and restaurants, or visit River Dog Brewing or September Oaks Winery. Additionally, it’s under 45 minutes from Beaufort, Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Savannah - all offering a variety of world famous beaches, restaurants, and shops!

A mom’s getaway
We did a girls weekend. The rustic home was welcoming. Easy check in and Alyssa was informative and quick with responses. The home is well stocked and cozy. Beds were clean and comfortable. We spent the evenings out by the fire watching the beautiful sunsets. You can buy wood close by. The recommendations by host were extremely helpful as the dirt road leading to the home is much easier to find in the daylight hours as well as getting into the home for the initial arrival and we found using Google maps was more accurate. Very secluded, relaxing getaway.
