Our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Singer Cabin #1 is a rustic cabin located just north of Ouray. This cozy little cabin sleeps up to 4 people. The main floor has a living room, dining area, kitchen, with a walk-in shower.
Large windows provide a lot of sunshine, natural light, and mountain views. The kitchen is compact yet has everything you will need for your mountain stay. This is one of three residential units located on this property, two occupied by the owner and the family.

Bed Configuration:
Master Bedroom - King Bed (second floor)
Second Bedroom - Double Bed and Daybed with Trundle (second floor)

Satellite TV and WiFi are provided for your stay. There is room to park 2 cars at the cabin.
Riding off-road vehicles are NOT permitted on the property, but hiking is welcomed. Please note: For winter stays (September through May), a 4WD or AWD vehicle is required.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Cabin with a view
Loved this little cabin. At the end of the road so no traffic passing by. Loved waking up to the Mountain View from the upstairs bedroom. Lots of fans on the property.

Cozy cabin for family getaway!
Our family had a lovely time in this little cabin. Great location, close to Ouray and the cabin has everything you need. The views are amazing and the property is private and remote.

The location was great. Close to Ouray and Ridgway. Definitely need to follow the directions sent to you--do NOT use GPS. The drive to the property was up a steep hill so you need a vehicle with at least some type of AWD at a minimum due to the loose gravel. If there is rain or snow, it would be even more difficult. The cabin was very clean. The main bed was comfortable and the view out the bedroom window was magnificent!! Seating in the downstairs area is pretty tight, but there were only two of us so we made it work. There is no air conditioning, so just be prepared for that. There were several fans available. The main recommendation I have is for some type of covering (curtain or blind) in the kitchen window over the sink. The sun shines directly into the window in the late afternoon/evening & right into the main area. Also, the property owners utilize the workshop that is attached to the cabin. We were just surprised at first that they would be in there when we would pull up after being out sightseeing/hiking for the day.

Our Stay at Ridgway
This is a cute little cabin. The views are nice and check in was easy. The only thing that we didn't like was the road noise if you sit outside. There was also no heat source except for the wood stove.

Beautiful views
The cabin was everything we needed for a long weekend. The outdoor space is great, it's quiet and secluded, the view was amazing, and the sound of the river rushing was awesome. Only word of caution is that if you're going during the mud season be sure your vehicle can make it up the steep hill. My SUV had no trouble, but I could see smaller cars having issues if it rains like it did for us. Great place!

Rustic perfection
We had the privilege of staying at this sweet little cabin, while attending my daughter's destination wedding in Ouray. This place was amazing. The views are spectacular. Wildlife is everywhere. Even the pebbles here are more beautiful. Beauty abounds. Our cabin covered all of our needs and was really private and perfect. We had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this spot and please visit the hot springs in Ouray. Very therapeutic.

Quiet, simple retreat
The cabin was perfect for our needs - no frills and like a step back in time but was clean and met our needs and expectations well. The king bed upstairs is very comfortable and looks out on the mountains! There is no air conditioning but with venting the screened windows and running the several fans that are provided, we were very comfortable. The “sofa” downstairs is a futon that was not comfortable to lounge on and we would have preferred an actual loveseat or something, but alas, we did not come to the mountains to sit around in our cabin. The property is very quiet and well located with easy access to Ouray, Ridgway, and Telluride. We would stay here again!

The views are gorgeous and it is located right in the middle or Ouray and Ridgway. We never had to drive far to get anything we needed. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. We came in during some heavy snow and the road was also maintained well for inexperienced ice drivers! We had a wonderful time and cant wait to come back during the summer months!

The place, while older, was IMMACULATE. It was perfect for us and our kids. Be advised-it is a cabin, so no a/c. This would not have been an issue for us, but some weird, regional phenomenon that brought millions of tiny fruit flies to the area (literally, even the hot springs pool was full of them) made it impossible to open the windows in the cabin. The management company went WAY above and beyond to take care of us. I cannot recommend them enough. They really took care of us. They even did an extra cleaning to get rid of the dead gnats. Anyway. Location was excellent. A little hard to find, but property mgmt was easy to reach and stayed on phone till we found it. But we liked that it was off the beaten path, but not too far outside of town. Would stay again.

Hot in the summer

Have to keep all curtains & windows closed during the day because of the heat, so not much view during the day. Kitchen was small but functional, had everything you need. No vent for the range/stove, so it added to the heat significantly. Downstairs was small, most of the building was a locked garage. Upstairs was huge, easily enough room to sleep 10 on air mattresses. Beds & bedding were comfortable & clean. Bathroom was nice, although small. Shower stall was pretty tight. Outside smelled like a barnyard, not very pleasant. Property manager was very nice, answered the phone and helped as much as possible when I called. Pros: Location, close to Ouray & Ridgway. Great views of mountains. Big sleeping area. Nice bathroom. Functional kitchen w/ dishes, silverware, pots, etc. Fairly quiet other than donkeys & slight highway noise Cons: Very hot, if it's 80 and sunny the house is 90+ inside. Have to close all south windows & curtains, kills the mountain view. Outside smells like a barnyard, the donkeys are right next to the house. Can't enjoy being out. Aggressive dog in yard with laundry, so can't use it. Small downstairs, room for two but that's about it. Needed a good cleaning, especially shower & ceilings.

This probably isn’t a big deal but this Texan was visiting to escape the heat and it just turns out that this area was experiencing unseasonably high day time temps during our stay in late July. It was very pleasant at night but NO AC should be advertised. Bring a folding chair because the only outside seating is iron chairs around an iron table. We went into town to buy our own.The cabin is small all around and most notably the shower. Could use an update in many areas but the way it is now is also part of its charm. Overall, if you’re looking for a cozy, clean, and comfortable place to stay (when there’s not a heatwave) this is the place. Great communication with management as well!

Google Maps isn't correct about the road configuration to access, but the provided directions are. All information and check in steps provided were clear, timely, and easy.The description and photos are accurate, but one thing not clear is that the Second Bedroom is accessed through the Master Bedroom, so not totally private.

Perfect location
This little cabin with stellar views is centrally located between Ouray and Ridgeway. It had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing hiking vacation.

Perfect location; incredible view
So glad we stayed here. Conveniently located between Ridgway and Ouray, but surrounded by acres of privacy and away from the hubbub. The cabin was like a time capsule from the 70s in a cool and funky way. It had everything we needed and the beds were numerous and comfortable. Can't beat the view of the mountains from the master beadroom. Would definitely stay here again.
