The Kamps Stay
Some minor damage to the property. Hand rail going to basement was damaged and screen door damaged and would not close. The sheets in our room (across from the bathroom had smudges on them so we had to wash them before using since it looked like poop. Other than that the location was excellent and we had a great time.

Outstanding views!
Our family of 4 greatly enjoyed this peaceful retreat with amazing views. Description of the listing and amenities is accurate. The firepit view is truly outstanding - especially on a clear evening that optimizes star gazing. We would note - for the benefit of future renters - that the driveway is quite steep and was challenging (in dry conditions) for our 2WD Honda Pilot.

Great Sunset views!
Everything was great as advertised. Nice views of the sun setting over the mountains each night. If you are planning to use the outdoor grill, take note that it's a charcoal grill.

Amazing place.

Beautiful spot for a getaway!
My husband and I were looking for a quiet, relaxing spot we could runaway to for the weekend to recharge away from the kids and this place met all our expectations! Beautiful views, very clean, simple yet pretty decor and furniture, and the kitchen provided all the necessary items to be able to cook both nights. Beautiful spot! We have already been recommending it to family and friends!

Wonderful weekend retreat!
I had an amazing time staying at Shenandoah Sunset: the property felt very secluded and included a wonderful view. The interior of the cabin was very clean and nicely decorated and the kitchen felt up-to-date with the appliances and had a nice open concept leading into the living/dining areas. The bedrooms & bathrooms were also very clean, comfortable and inviting. I'll definitely looking to be coming back to Shenandoah Sunset for future retreats!

Basic house with no frills and the minimum but good view, quiet and nice jaccuzzi
This house is not a "sweet home", everything has been done the minimum way (decorations, size of the beds, no bed sheets and towels unless you pay supplement, no basics kitchen staples, few pots, pans,glasses etc...). Unfortunately the oven and the exterior BBQ were very dirty when we arrived. With no access to the laundry and the basement, the ratio value for your money was poor.

Love Sunset Cabin

Road trip to the mountains
Tranquil getaway that is pet friendly! We enjoyed evenings at the fire pit and soaking in the hot tub under the stars. Kitchen was set up well & charcoal was available for the park-style grill. Four of us were quite comfortable & glad we brought extra camping chairs. Nice little area nearby to get in river. You have to park at the gate & walk the rest of the way with your cooler, chairs, floats, etc. We enjoyed chatting with some local folks & fisherman while there.

We loved our stay at Sunset Cabin!
We had a great stay at Sunset Cabin! It was quiet, peaceful, clean and had amazing mountain views! It was easy to get to from DC, close to Luray Caverns and other fun activities, but felt like a world away from it all. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Andrea for a peaceful escape!

Perfect gateway cabin to Shenandoah National Park area and Blue Ridge Whiskey Wine Loop
We arrived in Rileysville for a girls' weekend getaway and had the best time staying at this cabin. It was situated between Luray and Front Royal and we found it to be the perfect jumping off point for all there was to do in the area. The cabin itself was clean and spacious and well laid out. We enjoyed the hot tub every night after a long day of hiking and exploring. It was set off the highway just far enough without feeling overly secluded. Andrea was a wonderful host. We never saw her but her communication was very good and check in was a breeze. We found some games in the closet and enjoyed those as well. My only suggestion was that she have a few more pots and pans and everyday spices available for cooking. Woud definitely stay here again with my friends if we decide to come back.

Sunset Cabin
Great experience, it’s in a very peaceful and quiet setting. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the birdsong. Cabin well equipped, even Tupperware for picnics. The best view is out the back of the property and hot tub is in prime location for enjoying the view. The deck at the back is literally just for the hot tub but there is a picnic table and chairs on the grass at the back with fire pit and grill. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Amazing
We loved everything about our stay! It snowed in our way up to the cabin, so we woke up the next morning to a beautiful snowy view, but the day cleared up and the views were even more beautiful. Super comfortable and relaxing stay. Definitely planning our next visit!

Family girls weekend
The cabin was very clean and neat upon arrival. There were plenty of dishes, pans, etc. for our stay. The bedroom layout was perfect for our needs. We did have a little bit of an issue with seating for six in the living room and the tv visibility based on it's location in the corner and somewhat behind the fireplace. The fireplace was great and so was the hot tub. Perhaps better lighting outside could be a consideration for the future. But -- all in all it was a wonderful trip and lots of good memories were made! Thank you.

feels like home, only with an amazing view
We have been to this cabin twice now and have had a great time both visits. The house is clean and comfortable, with everything you need. The hot tub on the deck has the best view of the mountains, and the skies at night are incredible. The house is also in a good location, its a quick drive to Luray and good hiking spots. I would highly recommend.
