"Be aware: the listing shows only the units on the water. What you may actually be booking has no water around it. When we checked in we found that we were booked for a “Garden Unit,” meaning a boat parked on the grass several meters away from any water. Your view from such a unit will likely be weeds, not water. "We had a great two night stay at the grand Astoria hotel. The staff were excellent parking our car and bringing all our luggage to the room while we went to the pool as we were early. The staff was over the top helpful at all times. It was in a great location to walk to the beach which the hotel looked after getting us our spot. All of the great restaurants and shops were right around the corner. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Pleasant stay. Came in late September and stayed on first floor. Room was a bit warm so we opened the windows, which helped a lot but let in a lot of noise from patrons below. Couldn’t imagine how stifling it would be in the height of summer. Room decor was dated, but added to the charm. Fantastic location in the middle of town. Very walkable city. Lots of people out on a Thursday night. Nice vibe. Staff was very friendly."
