"Stayed at the hotel enroute to France.Good stop over and dog friendly although did not provide water bowl etc.Reception were friendly and efficient.2 Restaurants close by but dogs not allowed inside which is a bit of a problem in winter as too cold to sit outside. The restaurant cafe next to fuel station does however provide take out food.
Would recommend this hotel as a stop over, comfortable bed and nice hot shower."
"Reception speaks English barely.
Located in the outskirts of Penafiel.
Restsurant was closed for dinner.
Spa costs 25€ per person!!! No guest used it.
Expensive, not VFM."
"Estudios perfectamente equipados, cómodos, accesibles y funcionales.
En cada planta hay 5 estudios. 4 de cada planta dispone de cama y sofá cama, pero hay uno que únicamente tiene cama grande. Creo que son los quw terminan en cuatro (104, 204, 304, 404, 504).

"Stayed for one night while visiting Ribera del Duero area, hotel is conveniently located steps from the main square and close to a few restaurants/ shopping area. The staff were very friendly and provided recommendations for dinner options close by. There was no AC in the room but as we stayed during February - we had no issues."
"The hotel is an old castle high up above the valley - how fantastic is that? Wonderful character with plenty to wander around and explore. We would have enjoyed the views from the rooftop terrace had the weather been a bit warmer but we enjoyed looking around the hotel and relaxing with a drink in the main central room. There was no bar as such but drinks were available from reception and we had a great meal in the restaurant. Good service throughout our stay."
"Historic, tranquil, beautifully renovated converted monastery with several on site restaurants serving delicious food. The breakfast spread is expansive and includes a warm menu an la carte and cold buffet, smoothies, coffee machines, and wines. The breakfast may be one of the many highlights. Our family also enjoyed the self guided tour of the monastery, cloisters and beautiful chapel for about €3 each. The valet and check in staff very friendly and receive guests with a glass of champagne....

Our family also enjoyed the self guided tour of the monastery, cloisters and beautiful chapel for about €3 each. The valet and check in staff very friendly and receive guests with a glass of champagne. The monastery is located adjacent to the Duero River and there is a beautiful park between the river and property with a hiking trail. The town is quiet - almost looks abandoned so we just stayed on the property which was magnificent. Because there are steps throughout to access restaurants and even within floors it may be difficult for grandparents to maneuver. "

"We’ve stayed here a number of times. Real value for money! Clean rooms, superking bed and good bedding, helpful staff and close to the motorway but no road noise. The cafe bar allows dogs too. Great overnight stop when travelling long distances. "
