"The Tapoco Lodge is absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazing. The cabin we stayed in felt like everything was antique but somehow still new. My only complaint was that Expedia allowed me to book it as a pet-friendly room when the actual room I chose wasn’t pet-friendly. The Tapoco honored the reservation anyway and took care of us. They were terrific. My wife is already asking if we can stay here again. "

"Our group enjoyed the peaceful seclusion of this beautiful property. We spent a week at the cabin and left only once to see some of the local waterfalls. The views of Lake Fontana and background mountains were stunning, particularly during early morning and before sunset. The cabin itself is spacious, well appointed, and was very comfortable for our group. We highly recommend this property."

"The Lazy Elk cabin was as presented in the VRBO information. It was clean, and the view of Fontana Lake was beautiful. Our particular GPS kept misdirecting us to the road, but thankfully some kind locals actually showed us the way. We stayed at the cabin almost the entire week, keeping warm by the fireplace and fire pits, and just unwinding."

"Nice cabin, comfortably furnished, very peaceful location, excellent porch for watching leaves blow, lovely host. Some of the window hardware had been damaged by previous renters, but we told the host and I’m sure she’s taking care of it. Fall color here must be amazing. "

"The cabin was absolutely delightful! Probably one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. Everything was perfectly tidy and ready for us. Not a cob web or bug anywhere, inside and out. I really appreciated the attention to detail, linens, cookware, and how comfortable the cabin was. The fireplace was so convenient and easy to use with the touch of a button. Communication was spot on and efficient. We had a wonderful time and the hosts were extremely responsive. Would highly recommend!"
