As featured in Canadian Living magazine, Cottage Living magazine, and on the 604now's Bucket List for 2017, the Micro Cabin is nestled on a heritage homestead surrounded by lush garden and towering cedars. The ocean and the heart of Roberts Creek are two minutes away. We are located halfway between Gibsons and Sechelt, making it a perfect homebase to explore the Sunshine Coast from. Enjoy a solo retreat or a relaxing getaway for two while trying out tiny house living!
We built the 125-square-foot Micro Cabin after being inspired by the tiny house movement. Guests should be aware that this is a tiny cabin, which means - it is a tiny cabin! The space is small but bright and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows and natural light. We think you'll find it to be carefully laid out and thoughtfully appointed. The full-size bed is made up with 100% cotton linens to ensure a good night's sleep. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need to make something delicious. The bathroom is a fully tiled wet bath like that on a boat. There is plenty of outdoor space here on our private acreage to sit and daydream or finally start writing that novel. Relax at the picnic table with a mug of hot tea and watch the sunrise or gaze at the stars. If you're lucky you might see one of our resident deer and her two fawns wandering around the property. Black bears live here too!
Our small homestead is one of the oldest in Lower Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast. We live on the property in a farmhouse that was built in 1926 for the area's first schoolteacher. We look forward to sharing our slice of paradise with you.
