Froggy Bottom | 1 Bed, 1 Bath

Froggy Bottom is a cozy, light, fully self contained home nestled on a forested hillside on a gravel road above the fantastic locally-oriented Red River Rockhouse Restaurant.  It has all the amenities of a larger home, but with the comfortable convenience of a smaller space.  If you've ever wondered what it's like to live in a tiny home, come stay with us and find out!

Froggy Bottom is located in the funky and unique Cave Hollow area here in the gorge.  In addition to this tiny house, there are several treehouses and cabins located farther down the gravel road...along with a pair of our farmer-friends...so watch out for a few chickens on your evening stroll!

At 280 sq ft, Froggy Bottom packs a lot of style and utility into a small space that is best enjoyed by no more than two guests.  On the main floor are the living room, kitchen, dining area, and bathroom.  Upstairs is a small loft bedroom with a queen sized mattress accessible by climbing a ladder.  Fun little triangle windows let in the beautiful green hues of the hemlocks, oaks and hollys surrounding this tiny abode.

The fully equipped kitchen has a sink, stove, cookware and refrigerator.  Please Note:  This tiny house is on a well and does have hard water.  The water is potable, but may have an odor.  We also provide at least 2 5-gallon jugs of filtered water.  Other amenities include: air-conditioning, heat, fire pit, and easy road access.

Froggy Bottom is located about two miles from the Natural Bridge State Park and is minutes from major trailheads and world-class climbs.  This convenient location is minutes to Mountain Parkway and gives you access to all the beautiful hikes and climbs available in the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park.

The perfect little getaway
This is a true tiny home. The inside setup was perfect, allowing who ever is staying plenty of room for cooking, playing games or just simply relaxing while still getting that tiny house feeling. Beautiful area and so easy to get to. I will recommend froggy bottom

1st stay at a Tiny House
The Tiny House was very nice and in a great location for all the hiking trails. As stated on the website it is best to drive past the property, turn around and back into the drive. There is a coffee machine and we bought 2 different kind of filters; neither worked. Maybe a basic coffee pot or supplying filters. Would have liked a covering over the window in the bathroom! Overall a great place.

Wonderful Valentine’s Day
My boyfriend and I stayed two nights here to hike for Valentines Day. This cabin was so cozy and comfortable. We loved the tiny home and especially loved the fire pit outside. We will be coming back next time we take a short tip to the Gorge!

Perfect basecamp location for hiking
Husband and I stayed here for two nights to hike. The location is perfectly located for short drives to Natural Bridge and many of the Red River Gorge trails. Also right near Daniel Boone coffee shop for pre-hike breakfast and post-hike pizza and beer at Miguel's. The house is indeed tiny but cheerful and tidy. Tap/shower water is a bit well-sulfury, but plenty of bottled water was provided. Like other reviews have said, the parking is on a hill and backing out is a challenging multiple-point turn. Amy was a great, very communicative host. One wish would be a small table to face each other to play cards, etc. The bench and small hightop table wasn't quite comfortable enough for a long sit with drinks and games. Everything else was great. Would absolutely recommend. Oh, and there's no freezer so bring a cooler for ice.

Adorable tiny home
A great stay in a great location. We walked the road the tiny home is on and it was so neat to see all the other different cabins/tree houses near by. There was an ant issue inside the tiny house but multiple ant traps through out. Driveway is hard to back out of but not terrible if you are paying good attention. Would definitely stay here again!
