Castel Gandolfo is known for the presence of the summer residence of the Popes. The Holy Father was a guest from July to September.

There are also several sites of archaeological interest, including examples are the 'Emissary of Lake Albano and the remains of the Villa of Domitian, as well as natural, since the area is included in the scope of the Regional Park of the Castelli Romani.
Finally, there are interesting sights, such as the Collegiate Church of St. Thomas of Villanova, built by Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
