"Our family stayed for five days surrounding my daughter’s wedding in the area. The kitchen is absolutely fabulous and each room has its own personality and convenient bathroom. The surroundings were gorgeous and relaxing on the porch helped us to wind down from all the wedding stress. The owner quickly responded to all our questions and we felt very spoiled! I highly recommend Birch Creek Retreat. 😀"

"The cabin is in a relaxing setting with views. We enjoyed using the fire pit in the evening. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. My husband and I wanted to get away alone and relax and that is what this property delivered. Secluded but close to market, restaurants etc. The hostess Maria is quick to respond to any inquiries. Highly recommended! "

"We had such a nice time in Margaretville for a long weekend with close friends and family. The property was great for kids to play and us all to spend time together. The kitchen was great for a few at home meals and the fire at night was great for s’mores! The rooms and beds were comfortable and the basement was a great space for us to play board games and hang out together. "

"My extended family has been gathering together somewhere each summer for the last 30+ years. This year we chose this property. It was a great venue for us. The big pool was the main draw as always and having the cover was wonderful in the rain. The lodges were clean and welcoming and accommodated our crowd well. There were two issues we encountered but the Leah was easy to reach and had the property manager working on them promptly. Overall excellent property."

"Our second time there. Lots of care and attention by the owner. No shortage of essentials like tissues, toilet paper, life vests, and lots and lots of room for the kids to play. Fishing was great for the kids, lots of pumpkin seed pan fish and short bass. Lots of beds for a large family."

"My family and I had a fantastic long weekend at this beautiful property with stunning views of the mountains! We wanted to get away from the hectic pace of the city and spend some quiet time surrounded by nature and we were not disappointed. Even when indoors one is able to enjoy the gorgeous scenery! The home was clean and very comfortable. Lee is an excellent host and provided detailed information on checking in and getting around. We would definitely return!"

"We really liked the house and outdoor space, especially the patio overlooking the river. The biggest drawback, and for me it is a big one, is that bed sheets are not provided. Since we were driving and had room in the car it wasn't a disaster, but hauling 4 beds' worth of sheets fills a duffel bag, and I did not enjoy having to make those beds after a 7 hour drive. I wouldn't mind stripping the beds at the end but for the cost of the accommodations and how little a house full of sheets would...
