"We spent a long weekend at the cabin right after Christmas and we had an amazing experience. The river is much closer to the cabin than what I anticipated and the windows from the cabin show a beautiful view! The cabin was clean and cozy with enough room for all six of us and our two German shepherds. It was such a relaxing place that I never wanted to leave. We can't wait to go back!"

"My husband and I wanted to have a weekend away for ice fishing. Cabin is in a great location close to the lake. Beds are very comfortable and there's a nice wood stove (gas) to keep the cabin warm. We weren't able to fish on Higgins due to ice not as thick as we'd hoped but we were able to fish on Houghton Lake. Fish we caught too small to keep. We had lunch/dinner at the Cut River Grille at Higgins Lake and the Beechwood Cafe in Roscommon. Highly recommend! Also went to Fred's in...

"We loved our stay. I will say I was a little concerned when we turned down the street. The road was rough as were some of the homes. But the house was super clean and nice inside. It fit the 10 of us (2 families) great! The toys and video games were a great hit for the kids. We also enjoyed walking down to the lake gor the sunset most nights. I think a couple fans in the bedrooms and a clothesline outside for wet towels and swimsuits could be very helpful."
