Everything fine except prepaid dinner options for indian vegetarians very limited. All staff excellent but Chef Abdul Majid and Smiley from dining section were outstanding in their services.

We had a lovely stay at the Taj during our time in capetown! The staff were so friendly and they went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The breakfast was delicious every morning and the location was central to a lot of different sights. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing staff and service. Micky the Hotel Manager went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The wellness center, the choice of food, the willingness to cater to our special requests etc, all made our stay memorable. Highly recommend the hotel.

Micky, the Duty Manager, took excellent care of us and provided great customer service to compensate us for non-availability of a previously booked room on the check-in day. The room was not available because of a water leak on the 9th floor so all rooms on that floor were closed.

The Taj was AMAZING not because of the beautiful building and cleanliness, but because of the beautiful souls that work there. Overall a disappointment from a well regarded brand. Checkin was rushed and impersonal, also they don’t preauthorise credit card, but rather charge for incidentals in advance, at check in. Most unimpressively, there is no evening turndown service (which is shocking for a luxury brand!). Valet parking returned my car covered in bird poop (when I complained they did have this washed). Oddly there was a drought of towels, which were taken away and not replaced. Overall just disappointing for a brand with such prestige.

Good option downtown
Taj is a good option for those who wants to stay in downtown. The rooms are spacious and the very well furnished. The employees are very polite and friendly. I highly recommend.
