As for location, the property is excellent. I have a child attending NM Military Institute. La Quinta could not be in a better location for convenience. The room (#208) is a little run down; chipped paint, drilled holes (like 10) on the top of the main dresser and a small hole in the ceiling above my bed that made me wonder if I was being watched! Finally, the lobby smelled like dope when I walked in. Not a welcoming situation for the sober minded person.

Overall a pleasant stay. Staff very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was pretty good. Regular oatmeal would be easy to provide and would give concerned guests a healthy choice. Room and beds were decent, however, property felt somewhat run down. Wallpaper peeling in the hallways. Cigarette butts strewn on the ground around entryways. Pool & spa closed for repair. Felt like a bit of extra effort by the maintenance staff would give it the boost it needed.

The floors were absolutely disgusting. There’s nothing worse than stopping at a worldwide chain and having it be nothing like the rest of them. The floors were filthy in our room and all around the property. The maid left a card in our room with her name on it. If I were her, I’d be embarrassed. Nasty!

Everything was clean, staff was great BUT..the shower had no proper way of retaining water in the shower and leaked into the room itself. I didn’t noticed till I slipped and grabbed the iron rack by the door. The AC hardly blew but it was cold outside so it was fine. Oh and the shampoo bottles in the room were empty.

This was the grossest hotel room I have ever tried to stay at. I tried 2 different rooms and they were both very very disgusting. Cockroaches around the fridge, mold on the ceilings, white stains on the box spring covers, finger nail clippings on the floors.

Our room was very nice, the carpet needs to be vacuum everyday, the hall way carpet looked liked it wasn't vacuum, the hot tub was working properly. But overall it was nice.
