It is a very quiet area and a great spot to base yourself if you are interested in exploring the vineyards and villages in the Champagne region. "The apartment is one in a maze of apartment buildings and was hard to find. The problem was made worst by extensive road repairs that closed the most logical streets into the building. "We had a great stay in Épernay. A couple things to note for those considering a stay. Parking - this is a residential neighborhood and parking was always available but we parked 500 meters away often. Laundry - it took 3 hrs to wash a load of laundry, 3 days to dry the laundry. Dryer was not up to the task, but there was a clothes hanger that did help. Thankfully we stayed 5 days. Saturday morning market is 50 meters from the door and it is a must.
