It had everything you could want for a family stay, from baking trays to children's colouring and teddes.Utilities, cups, glasses, chopping knives were all in immaculate condition. Der Geruch wurde abends und nachts schlimmer und das ganze Haus hat danach gestunken. Der Gestank kam wahrscheinlich aus dem Abfluss. Leider war auch wie beschrieben kein WLAN verfügbar. Trotz E-Mails mit der Agentur wurde nichts unternommen um das zu beheben. Es wurde einfach nicht mehr geantwortet. Außerdem war es abends bitterkalt im Haus und die Heizung...

"Vakantiehuis was vuil bij aankomst met vuile vloeren, overal spinnen en spinnenwebben, vlekken op lakens en gele kringen op hoofdkussens, BBQ hingen de restanten nog aan van het laatste gebruik. "We found this place by chance and were glad we did. It was lovely! Our room was very spacious and there was a common kitchen for cooking which we took advantage of as there was a grocery store close by (short drive but would have been walkable). Lots of character. The couch in our bedroom was a bit shabby but we spent our time downstairs visiting with other guest and the manager. "

Hotels.com needs to improve their platform.

"The lodging was fine. But we had a situation upon arrival that was a bit uncomfortable as no one was available to receive us. Hence, this is more of a criticism of the platform hotels.com because we received an email that said the booking is confirmed and only much further down the email in small print did it notify that we needed to contact the property 24 hours in advance to make arrangements for access to property. Further down the line, it indicated only a phone number for special requests. The criticism is of the platform itself hotels.com that does not provide a vehicle for the property to be in touch with the guest for sharing details to access the property. No email was received from the property (unlike on other bookings) and only by chance were we able to reach the property owner. "

Gloss but lots of small issues

"Great reviews so booked at short notice, wish we hadn’t. The room was spacious but had a number of annoying or safety issues. First of all the blinds didnt go all the way down leaving bright sunlight streaming directly onto the bed. The bathroom was awful after a shower, just like a skating rink. The breeze block step into the building was wobbly. The worst was the electric lead, plugged in, which then trailed across the corridor, and out the front door, twice we nearly went flying when we tripped over it"
