Both nights of my stay there was no hot water. I called and complained and they seemed to turn it on but it just went off again. I did not have hot water when I needed it. This is not how a hotel should run. Very unprofessional. They knew they were having issues with the water. before we checked in and said nothing. I want a refund.

Very nice stay and I would absolutely return. The check in process is very easy. There is a kiosk as you enter and a virtual employee was waiting for me. She was really sweet and helpful as this was a new experience for me to check in this way. I could see it being a problem if there are lots of people waiting to check in as there is only 1 screen, but since it was just me it worked out just fine. They administer the room keys through the kiosk and also print out a receipt with the wifi password info. Parking is easy and complimentary. There are 3 buildings on the premises. My room was great, located in the main building. Large, renovated room with laminate floors, comfy king bed, couch and computer desk, and a large bathroom. I was traveling with my dog so having a nice big room is great for us to spread out. There is a nice pool and seating area outside. Plenty of grass for your pups or kids to run around. Breakfast was pleasant but was missing hot foods. I was hoping eggs and sausage/bacon would be offered. There is just muffins, cereal, yogurt and some fruit. All nice but I need protein to start my day. Has to take off a star because the shower took forever to get warm-I couldn’t wait any longer so took a cold shower as I had to hit the road. Hopefully they can fix that issue as I have noticed other reviews mention the same thing. Overall a great deal in the Davis area.

The one thing that I did not like at all was the check-in process. I arrived at 5:30 pm and there were no receptionists. You are checked in through a kiosk via a Zoom-like interaction. It was a very strange experience: impersonal and not safe. While I was checking in another person came into the lobby. I am a woman and he was a man. You are expected to put your ID on the kiosk to be scanned and your credit card (even though you used it for your reservation) in a credit card reader. I did not feel safe pulling out my ID and credit card in a lobby with no one else present other than a stranger. If someone was aware of this procedure, what would dissuade them from lying in wait with a mask on to enter the building and attack or rob you? There was not a locked or monitored entry that could dissuade people from showing up in disguise. I guess the one thing positive is that my murder would be recorded and hopefully the person on the kiosk computer screen would call 911 for me. Too risky to recommend or return.

The check in was virtual. The room was in another building with no elevator, the room had no microwave as listed. There was a delay in addressing the problem but it was brought in. Could hear snoring and conversations in the hall like we were in same room. Drove past it on the first try.

I think this property deletes their reviews that are bad. We saw over 1,0000 4-5 star reviews, and we’d argue this deserves less than one star. After a long day of driving, all I wanted to do was take a hot shower. Upon arrival our room reeked of old cigarette smoke and there was no hot water. We finally decided to go to bed early for the night, when we realized that the walls were paper thin. I endured a sleepless night listening to a combination of the man’s next doors roaring snores, and the upstair couples’ reenactment of an adult video. I could even hear them say, and I quote, “Are you going to throw up? Are you okay?” So needless to say I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend this for anyone looking for a nice resting stop on the outskirts of Davis.

Disappointing Stay Experience First, upon arrival, the remote check-in process was inefficient. Without an on-site front desk, communication was cumbersome, and the automated system required my passport to be scanned three times before it finally worked. Shortly after entering the room, the cleaning staff unexpectedly opened my door, which was both intrusive and unprofessional. The most unacceptable part was the repeated water outages — occurring on the first night and the following day — making it difficult to shower or use basic facilities. Lastly, the breakfast offered was also disappointing. There were no hot food, just basic bread and pastries. I cannot recommend this hotel due to these significant inconveniences and poor service quality.
