There is restaurant conveniently across the parking lot. The area isn’t the best for traveling alone though there was a was a youth baseball tournament going on and the families were staying there so although it was a little noisy during the day, it didn’t bother me. And I did feel safe.

I had stayed at another Fairfield Inn the previous night so I was able to compare them. The one in Elk Grove looked poorer in comparison. Not quite as clean, not as safe looking area, a little worn, luggage carts need to be replaced or at least recarpeted. Still, the indoor pool was good, and the room was too. I will return because of the indoor pool and hot tub.

Right next to one of the many freeways in Sac area, but still quiet in the room, and had Texas Roadhouse restaurant within 200' for dinner, not lunch. Was a nice option for the one night at least.

The property/rooms are a little outdated (old carpets, can see space under doors in some rooms, has to use tissue paper to cover the peep hole), but overall a really great convenient place to stay (easy check in, next to gas station and Texas Roadhouse - but definitely make a reservation as it’s the only place nearby in walking distance and it always packed). The staff were also very kind and courteous (and special shout out to one of the house/kitchen staff who was the kindest woman to my husband and son).

They were very accommodating when I needed to downsize my room at the last minute. They even helped carry my luggage from my room when all of the carts were taken. One suggestion that I have is to provide a door stop for the restroom so the door can be open if you choose rather than a heavy self closing door. Would stay again.
