The Crown Jewel Lodge is one of our largest most modern with a hit of cottage like aesthetics sitting on 9.8 acres. Sugar River runs across the estate in the back with pathways open for recreational activities, such as fishing, biking, hiking and many other activities. The Lodge is roughly 2,600 SQ FT with 3 floors including the basement 5 bedrooms, 2 on the top level, 1 on the mail level and 2 on the lower level. 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bathroom. Each level has its own bathroom. Three car garage, propane powered kitchen area, bar area, oven, stove, fridge, microwave and outdoor barbecue grill and lamb rotisserie oven along with bonfire pits. Hammock, lawn chairs, benches and more. The main level bathroom has a jet-propelled jacuzzi and the backyard has a jet-propelled hot tub on the wraparound. Entertainment areas on all 3 levels and SONOS surround sound speakers built into the cottage. Karaoke system as well. Air conditioned and ventilation equipped. Secure and designated. Verizon 4GLTE powered Internet Connection with extended WiFi. There is a beautiful designated smoking sun room that overlooks the river. Child's play area level 3, baby crib included along with many children games and entertainment areas. The lower level has a game area equipped with a pool table, dart table, ping pong, beer pong tables, and sitting area lounge included with your reservation. The lower level has its own walkout deck area as well. The maximum capacity sleeps up to 18 adults and children. The estate is pet friendly and is equipped with an electric fence. Great place for families.
This was the perfect house for our family’s weekend get together. It had plenty of room and there was a lot of fun things to keep the kids busy. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Wedding Weekend!
We stayed here for our intimate wedding with just siblings & parents. It was absolutely gorgeous & worked perfectly for a venue. The property manager was very quick to respond to questions and the house was extremely clean! The hot tub was perfect! The stairs to the river are currently broken so they are taped off but we didn’t mind.

Large Home for Family Gatherings
In Gladwin for our son’s destination wedding. Found the perfect home to host family and friends for a wedding weekend. Many memories made with lots of places to sit and visit from the large kitchen table dining area, to the enclosed porch, back deck and lower level for kids to hang out….simply fantastic!

Guys Trip
We had 12 guys come up to play golf by the cabin. The house had great location with many resources nearby. House setup was wonderful and gave many options for us to entertain ourselves. Front yard was great for yard games and the back deck gave great views of the forest/river.

Gorgeous Log Cabin
The property is absolutely beautiful. 5 stars for sure. We had 18 men here for an ice fishing event nearby. There is a lot of space and activities for the group in the house. My only advice for other large groups like mine would be to carpool. We had a lot of trucks and parking had to be carefully planned. The Host was awesome and communicated very fast to questions. Enjoy this cabin in the woods.

Family outing
The property was nice. There were a few things that were run down. Screens on windows needed to be fixed, the hot tub not usable because of lack of maintenance, stairs to the river were broke, you could not make it to the river. We had 17 people, and the place was large enough so we did not feel cramped. Beautiful inside if you like the cabin feel.

Family vacation
Home was roomie enough to sleep 4 family's with kids ranging 4 to19 years old. We all had fun playing pool, pin pong, karaoke, and playing in river. (Steps were kind of sketchy, but was told they are supposed to be repaired in August.) The guys fished a local lake and caught some nice bass and blue gill. Kenan answered any questions in a timely fashioned.

Nice Log Home
We had 15 adults and 2 littles. The bunk beds are not really built for adults, so we had to figure out sleeping. The hot tub was enjoyed by many, and the game room area was filled with laughter during big thunderstorms. We did not find the chickens or ducks, and the chiminea and steps down to the river are gone, but overall we enjoyed our stay. Also, we found Kenan is very responsive!

Place itself was nice and in a nice area, got to the house and there was garbage stacked in the garage, open alcohol containers around the property, and a green hot tub. Aside from the dirty house i was sent a screen shot of a internet speed of about 500mb, me and my friends are gamers and were happy about it. I got there and it was 5mb without the ability to even stream netflix. He gave me a 1 night refund my troubles, id avoid the property.

Exceeded our expectations!
This property exceeded our expectations in many ways. Its situated in a quiet, secluded area by a small river yet not too far away from Gladwin where you can get anything you want. The cabin was clean and stocked with all of the essentials we needed and more! My friends had a great time in the game room playing pool and ping pong and outside, the kids had a great time playing in the lawn. Plenty of parking space as well. The owner was very communicative and helpful before, during and after our stay. He was always reachable when we had questions and even shipped (at his own cost) something we left behind at the cabin. Much appreciated!! Overall, we had a great stay and wish we could have stayed longer and explored a bit more of the outdoors :-)

Although the house was beautiful the care for it is slacking.The hot tub was nasty and could not use it for my leisure. They tried telling me housekeeping cleaned it. The filter was all gross and unchanged. The ovens and grill were nasty unable to use. They need a good house cleaning company. The advertise chickens. There are no chickens.

Adequate stay for 14 adults
Overall the house was nice and adequate for our trip. I liked how isolated it was so we didn't have to worry about noise complaints from neighbors when playing music. The bunk beds were not stable enough to have full grown adults on the top bunk, so some slept on a pull out or couch. I don't see 18 people being able to sleep here comfortably as we had 14 adults and that seemed like the max to sleep comfortably. Quite a few light switches in the house either didn't work or were maybe two-way switches that were too time consuming to figure out. It was nice having the ping pong and pool table available, although the pool table slates we're quite unlevel, causing some balls to jump around. The Sonos surround sound system in the living room was a nice touch, as well as having the hot tub available to use.

Good owner very helpful
When we got there the house was very clean well taken care of. It was a little hard to find at first because maps brought us to areas where there were no houses or driveways. But we ended up finding the place. Unfortunately when we got there a huge storm had rolled through and knocked out the power. The owner was VERY accomodating and helped us out anyway he could. He even had an electrician come hard wire a generator to the house so that we could have power and running water. He stayed in contact with us until power was restored. He replaced a grill with two grills because the one at the house was not working or clean. Overall a VERY VERY HELPFUL owner to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The only down fall was there were not as many beds as listing stated and the hot tub was not clean or even filled up with water if we wanted to use it.

Nice house but lacking many things
While it is a VERY nice house, there are a few problems. When we arrived there was snow on everything. We had to shovel for the first half hour. The owner said they did it the day before and that they do not provide 24/7 service. No matter what it should be done on the day of our arrival. Everything should be ready to go. The hot tub had over an inch of ice on the lid. There were dishes in the dishwasher. There was trash in the kitchen containers (at least 10 beer bottles and other trash). The owner assured me it had been cleaned and it must have been the workers that were there the day before. The few pots and pans they have are all dented and rusted. There are many coffee cups but very few drinking glasses. We went to the store and bought some new pans for ourselves. There needs to be a page of instructions on how to use the items in the house (the electronics). There are NO instructions anywhere. There is no telephone number to talk to someone. You have to get down on your hands and knees to plug in the cooktop. Only two burners work. You have to unplug it after every use because the exhaust fan does not turn off. The yellow light bulbs over the dining table are very off putting. Hard to see when playing games. I could go on and on. While I know some of these things do not matter to some people, they do to me. When paying these prices for the house at a minimum it should have decent pots and pans.

Overall a great stay in a beautiful home.
Nonstick cookware was scratched up. Lots of cooking utensils provided. Corn kernals found in one bed, pinecones found in another. Plenty of towels provided, but could use more wash cloths. Night stand in master bedroom unstable. Liggts are dim, could use more/brighter lighting. Directions to home via Google Maps are about 1/2 mile off. Overall a beautiful home. Host very responsive to messages.
