Stylish living in the village square with a large terrace overlooking the Morvan

The house was built in 1928 and lies at the edge of the peaceful village square of the small South Burgundy village of Saint-Didier-sur-Arroux, which is located in the Regional Morvan Nature Reserve. The house offers a magnificent view of the undulating pastures in which the white Charolais cattle roam, of the Etang de Bousson and of the southern flanks of the wooded Morvan Mountains.

The annex to the house was in use as a smithy until the sixties of the last century. The village square was then in use to shoe the horses of the farmers and nobilty and to repair farming equipment.

The village has about 250 inhabitants, most of them live on farms in the surrounding area. In the village itself, you will find, aside from our restaurant La Petite Auberge (www.la-petite-auberge.eu) several houses, a post office, the town hall, the school, the church and a flea/antiques market operated by a Dutch couple.

Lovely quiet village. Host on hand to give advice and enthuse about local attractions. Ideal for relaxing, reading and short tours. House has all you require with the plus point of no tele! A must visit for all francophiles.

Merveilleux

Ein wunderschöner und sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt im Morvan. Alles war genau wie beschrieben. Die freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin hat uns viele Tips für Ausflüge, Einkäufe (Boulangerie in St.-Leger-s-Beauvry!), Restaurants (Auberge de Poil) gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder! .

Rust, gastvrijheid en schoonheid in een oorspronkelijk landschap.

Als je rust zoekt, een prachtig landschap met mooie verstilde dorpjes en een omgeving waarin het ideaal is om te fietsen en te wandelen dan ben je in Saint Didier sur Arroux op de juiste plaats. In de omgeving zijn verder diverse mogelijkheden tot het bezoeken van stedelijk schoon en interessante zaken uit de oudheid. Er zijn voldoende restaurantjes aanwezig waar je tegen redelijke prijzen kunt vertoeven. De eigenaresse wist zich als waardige en aardige gastvrouw gastvrouw te gedragen.

Himmlische Ruhe und irdische Genüsse

Unser erstes Mal in der Bourgogne war ein voller Erfolg was die Erholung bei gleichzeitig sehr interessanter Umgebung und sprichwörtlich hohem kulinarischen Niveau betrifft. Die alte Schmiede am Dorfplatz und eine sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin machten den Urlaub perfekt. Sehr zu empfehlen

Le Morvan est un endroit calme avec de belles balades à faire. La location Les Forges est une belle demeure avec une hôte accueillante et soucieuse du détail. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Dommage que le temps n'était pas avec nous pour pouvoir apprécier encore plus cette région.

Wunderbare Tage

Wir haben zehn sehr schöne Tage in dieser tollen Umgebung verbracht. Unsere Gastgeberin Ana-Christina war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der persönliche Kontakt war sehr angenehm. Wir haben 10 Wohlfühltage im Morvan erlebt. Eine hilfsbereite, freundliche und weltoffene Gastfrau, in deren charmant eingerichteten Haus, einer ehemaligen Schmiede, wir gewohnt haben und die herrliche Umgebunghaben haben das möglich gemacht! Allen anzuraten, die Spaß an einem Urlaub mit allen Sinnen haben! Für uns das erste, aber sicher nicht das letzte Mal....

The property was everything the ad said. Well equipped and stylish furnishing and decor. The village is very quiet - one restaurant and a tea room/brocante. Well located to many places if you have a car. Also good for walks around local lanes and villages.

Aufenthalt im südlichen Morvan

Das Ferienhäuschen von Frau Baulan liegt sehr ruhig, ist wunderschön eingerichtet und hat alles, was man für einen entspannten Ferienaufenthalt braucht. Frau Baulan ist eine sehr freundliche, angenehme und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Im nahegelegenen Etang-sur-Arroux bekommt man alles, was man für den täglichen Bedarf braucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Super entspannende 14 Tage ohne jede Ablenkung

So etwas entspannendes und entschleunigendes haben wir lange nicht erlebt. Die Ruhe im Dorf bei pechschwarzen Nächten, da alle die Beleuchtung ausschalten, ist ein Erlebnis, trotzdem nie langweilig. Die Umgebung mit leichten, tiefgrünen Hügeln, die von weissen Punkten, die vielen Rinder bewohnt sind. Das Haus ist ein Traum, liebevoll in allen Details eingerichtet, viel Platz und wenn es kalt wurde, gibt es einen Kamin (eine Elektroheizung mögen wir nicht), der es heimelig warm macht, bei Nachtemperaturen von 4°C abends notwendig.

Eine zauberhafte Unterkunft mitten in der Natur

Wir ein paar Traumhafte Tage in der Unterkunft hinter uns. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch wenn die Erholung auf Grund der viele. Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung weniger war als erhofft, es gab einfach viel zu entdecken! Auf jeden Fall buchen!
