Typical cottage with fireplace and garden, pets allowed
Authentic, detached, all-inclusive cottage typical of the Pays d'Auge region. Ground floor: living room with open fireplace, fully equipped kitchen (Nespresso coffee machine), separate toilet. Bedroom with 4 steps (double bed 140 x 190 cm), dressing room, and en-suite spa bathroom/toilet. Upstairs: living room with sofa (2 extra daybeds) and television. Bedroom with 2 steps (double bed) and en-suite toilet with a washbasin. Private, wooded garden with 2 terraces, south-facing and west-facing, on an enclosed property shared with the owner. Grassland with donkeys. River 100 meters away, ideal for fishing. Dogs are welcome, provided they are not aggressive with Charlotte's little Shih Tzu. Cats are welcome but must remain inside the cottage. Come discover the "Forêt jardin des Hayes" at Charlotte's! Although it doesn't yet resemble a forest (it will reach full maturity in 10 years), these 8,000 m² already produce an abundance of vegetables, fruits, edible flowers, mushrooms, and honey. The semi-buried bioclimatic greenhouse adjoining the processing laboratory and the shop has been designed with maximum autonomy in mind (solar panels and rainwater harvesting). Charlotte will be happy to show you around her and sample her jams, fruit juices, and dried plants.
Property managed by a professional. Unless stated, services such as cleaning, bed linen, towels etc. are not included in the price of this rental. If pets are allowed (information in the advertisement), charges may be applicable. Only equipment mentioned in this advertisement are present. Equipment not mentioned are not considered to be present. Unless there is an electric charging station in the accommodation, charging electric vehicles is prohibited.
Your host : The granddaughter of farmers, on both her mother's and father's sides, Charlotte spent her childhood in the countryside. She obtained a DEA in Ecology/Territorial Planning at Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse then a DESS in computer science applied to experimental sciences. She then worked in Paris, in an IT company for 20 years, then followed training at the Bec Hellouin farm to launch her project in April 2019. On an area of 4 hectares, she operates two organic orchards planted in apple trees, pear trees, cherry trees, plum trees, and is experimenting with a forest-garden over an area of 8,000 m2. Its objective is to design and create forest-gardens and ecosystems for all audiences and to permanently share the results of its experiments in local contexts, sharing of knowledge, productions, etc.
