"This place is seriously beautiful and may spoil me for more ordinary hotels. Gorgeous historic buildings and gardens. Our bedroom was very large with massive wooden beams across the ceiling. Calm and pristine cream decor. Very modern bathroom with beautiful ceramic handbasins and walk in shower. The breakfasts are of excellent quality and the dining facilities are exceptional though very formal. The heated outdoor pool is large enough for a reasonable swim and in late September I had it entirely...

"Hotel was holding a large separate function which initially meant we were denied a table in the restaurant - we were on a cycling tour, staying one night, so this was frustrating after a long day's ride. However, on reflection, we were granted a table. Food was superb, facilities were great, once the initial restaurant hurdle was over, we found the staff friendly and helpful."

"Nice clean and cheap hotel as advertised. Staff friendly and quick check in. Rooms are decent size although separate wash hand basin in room was a bit odd. Air con functional which was good as warm nights. The breakfast is good selection and no complaints. "Brilliant room -“ D’or “ full of golden antiques and quirky items, felt very luxurious. Spent some time in the hot tub, then on lounger in sun playing peek a boo with tiny geckos! Swimming pool. Lovely rural setting right near the River Loire. Great welcome from host Miriam who produced a cold beer, a glass of cremant ( in the tub!) and a delicious amuse bouche. She made a recommendation for a dinner in a beautiful riverside location. Breakfast was good. What a lovely place to stay. "
