"Good place to stay. It was clean and bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning unit had to be plugged in but then worked in coordination with the wall thermostat (though never cycled off until unplugged again). Breakfast, as with most hotels, is not worth it - walk the little path up a hill of rocky outcroppings and get you some Tim Horton’s. Close to a great Indian restaurant: Dhaba, Casual Fine Dining & Express. Well worth the stay at this location. "

"Location was great. 1 min walk from Queensland beach. Enough parking space available, and groceries available a 5 min drive away. We booked the superior suite and found it suitable for our needs. The coffee provided was amazing, and the bed was comfortable. There was also a fridge, which came in handy. The staff were also very accommodating and helpful, which we appreciate after an overnight flight. "

Whalesback Cottage is a WOW!
"Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. A few excited moments at dusk when we caught sight of several whales waaaaay out – okay, turned out be distant shoals but what fun! Enjoyed long walks … to Peggy’s Cove … and exploring Polly’s Cove. Exchanging smiles and waves with the locals made us feel right at home. And visiting with hosts Tom & Donna … after spending time with these cheerful folks we didn’t want our time in this one-of-a-kind special place to end!"
