"I would agree with other reviews but to offer a different perspective, we chose this rental for two reasons, location & access for one of us using a wheelchair. Our experience of trying to book rentals has shown that people advertising rentals are generally scared of confirming accessibility because it is so personal and subjective. "Dreadful steep, uneven road to get to property with nowhere to park outside property - the offer was to park in the road at the bottom of hill! However, gite itself was wonderful- clean, tidy & every convenience. However had it been made clear about the steep narrow road & no parking, we would not have chosen this property. Yport still retains its village atmosphere, it has a few nice shops for your supplies and a pebble beach to enjoy. The only disappointment was the small garden which had been neglected and was overgrown, we weeded and tidied it up for our use. We would all return without hesitation."

"We had a very pleasant stay at this quirky octagonal cottage. It is in a little hamlet up a long lane so was very quiet. The owners house was closer than it seems in the photos but she left us to ourselves unless we needed something. The lane to the Le Gibet is narrow but is one way so you don't have to worry about meeting another car going up. Entering the lane going up the hill is fine as its on the right. But care needs to be taken if turning left into it as its just after a bend, is quite a...
