Relaxing holiday at the water’s edge
We picked this property because we wanted to use our kayaks & paddle boards without having to drive too far. We were delighted with the location! It was so easy to walk from the garden directly to the waters edge & launch straight from the jetty. A paddle boarding dream! And we were lucky with the weather & tides providing some idyllic tranquil waters so we paddled extensively around the inlet. Highly recommend! We also found beaches not far away that were perfect for paddling. We were impressed by the unspoilt nature of the beaches, so beautiful! In addition, the property is located next to the beautiful chapel & village green. We were lucky enough to enjoy the Breton village festival hosted on the green so we immersed ourselves in village activities for the day, which was fun! What lovely people we met. The house suited our needs as a family of 5, with plenty of space to spread out, it was clean & characterful & had all the equipment we needed. We highly recommend this lovely holiday property in the heart of a local village.

Breton Perfection
A week at this charming property isn't nearly enough. This is our 4th visit to Brittany, and may be our most enjoyable. L'Oiseau Bleu was a wonderful property. While there were only 4 of us, it can comfortably sleep up to 11. The kitchen is stocked with everything from oyster knives to a crepe pan, and everything in between. Washer, dryer, and a sizable drying rack mean you never have to find a laundry. The situation is gorgeous. Just behind a small 17th century stone chapel overlooking an inlet. During daylight hours you can hear the church bell chime the hours. Every morning we got up and had croissants and coffee or chocolat chaude in the glassed-in veranda looking out over the garden and watched the birds. Did I mention the veranda is heated? Even in winter it would be possible to do this. Now, in late October, it wasn't even necessary to have the heat on! The house is very close to the megalithic sights at Carnac and Locmariaquer, less than 10 minutes drive. Further amenities included good wifi, not just 1, but 2 refrigerators! as well as a small freezer for ice. I think there are also bicycles available, although we didn't use them. Many towns nearby have market days so you can easily pick up the freshest local ingredients for making wonderful dishes, as well as finding some locally brewed sea water beer or the excellent ciders of the region. There are also several creperies nearby to go and try a buckwheat galette complet or beurre sucre crepe. This property is wonderfully located so that you feel you've gotten away from it all, but you're close in enough to anything you might need. Mr. Morel was a wonderful host who was incredibly kind, and patient with all of our questions. We're incredibly grateful that we got so fortunate as to chose his property and that it was available for our dates. It's truly a hidden gem.

Das Haus ist wunderbar gelegen und der Garten ist ein Traum. Komplett eingezäunt (zum großen Teil mit einer schönen alten Mauer) ist es ideal für einen Urlaub mit Kindern oder Hund. Man hat einen schönen Blick aufs Wasser. Das Haus ist gepflegt und bietet alles, was man braucht, sehr angenehm. - Die freundliche Verwalterin war jederzeit erreichbar und reagierte bei Fragen sofort. Der Bäcker ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar, ein großer Intermarché befindet sich in 3 km Entfernung. Wanderungen kann man direkt am Haus beginnen lassen, Sandstrände sind zu Fuß, mit dem Rad oder per Auto sehr gut erreichbar. Saint-Philibert ist ein ausgezeichneter, sehr zentraler Standort für Fahrten in die Umgebung. Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub und kommen gerne einmal wieder.

Emplacement idéal avec vu sur le bras de mer qui se vidait au grès des marées. Etant du sud-ouest on avait l'impression d'être au bord du bassin d'Arcachon avec les ostréiculteurs à côté de la maison en plus. Maison très confortable où rien ne manquait pour notre séjour.

En famille nous avons adoré notre séjour à l’oiseau bleu . La maison où on se sent comme chez soi (voire mieux si je regarde les batteries de cuisine!), l’immense jardin, le cadre fabuleux face à la mer près d’une petite chapelle et juste à côté d’ostréiculteurs. Les promenades alentours sont nombreuses et le golfe du Morbihan est magnifique. Dommage de devoir en partir … mais nous reviendrons !!!

Das Haus ist an einer wunderbaren Lage mit Blick auf die Bucht. Leider war das Geschirr und der Backofen nicht sauber und ebenso der Grill kaputt. Uns wurden deshalb die Putzkosten erlassen und im Auftrag des Hausbesitzers konnten wir einen neuen Grill kaufen - welcher er dann uns bar zurückerstattete. Leider ernteten wir für die Fahrt (50km) und den Zusammenbau des Grills keinen Dank... Trotz diesen Erfahrungen hat es uns sehr gut gefallen.

Tout d abord un grand merci a M. Morel de nous avoir confié sa maison, pour une semaine de vacances en famille, maison propre et fonctionnelle idéale plusieurs familles, bien équipée et surtout....un emplacement de rêve, aucun vis a vis , vue sur la mer , suivi des marées, couchers de soleil etc...de plus un grand jardin qui a fait la joie des enfants en toute sécurité. nous conseillons vivement ce bien aux personnes en recherche de vacances paisibles en famille. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine en famille (2 adultes et 6 enfants) dans cette maison très bien équipée et située dans un endroit magnifique. Lieu de départ idéal pour visiter cette région magnifique. Pleins de belles plages dans les environs (20min à pieds pour la proche) et huitres à profusion, on s'est régalé. On a eu la chance d'avoir la fête bretonne devant la maison avec concerts, danses et feux d'artifice, c'était top! Les procédures d'arrivée/départ étaient très bien et Mme André très sympathique. Nous recommandons cette location sans hésitation.

Nicht zu viel versprochen, der Bretagne-Freund wird die Gegend lieben, von jedem etwas! Schroffe Felsenküste, weitläufige Sandstrände, beschauliche Fischerdörfer manchmal mit einem Hauch von Luxus. Einziger Wermutstropfen: im Sommer sind vielerorts Hunde am Strand grundsätzlich verboten.

Une belle semaine de vacances bretonnes
Si nous avons apprécié le confort et l'agrément de cette maison spacieuse et bien équipée, nous avons encore plus aimé la vue exceptionnelle qu'elle nous offrait sur la mer avec au premier plan le si joli clocher d'une chapelle. La véranda nous a permis de profiter des rayons du soleil, trop rares au moment de notre séjour pour que nous puissions jouir des agréments du jardin. Il nous faudra revenir à une autre saison ! Une petite mise en garde dans la lecture du descriptif : la cheminée mentionnée n'est pas utilisable.

Situation et location exceptionnelle
Très belle maison de famille entourée d’un vaste jardin clos, meublée avec goût, très très bien équipée et disposant de toute une gamme de prestations. Un royaume pour les enfants et les grands (vélo, table de ping-pong, balancoire, lecteur cd et discothèque variée, bibliothèque pour tous les âges, TV et sa super box .. ). Sans oublier le cadre féerique qui s’offre à vous face à la baie … départ du chemin côtier à 30m, ostréiculteur a 150m, super marché à carnac , cidreraie bio , artisan charcutier à proximité ! L’accueil de Mme André fut chaleureux et efficace Notre plus belle expérience!
