Very quiet property in lush greenery, not overlooked

Comfortable house, not overlooked, quiet, it is surrounded by a large garden of 2500 m² enclosed by a surrounding wall and equipped with a gate with electric opening.

Ideally located in the middle of fields (asparagus, and plantations of truffle oaks) it is 1 km from all shops. Close to the city center of Uzès (5 km), the first Duchy of France, the Pont du Gard (10 km), Nîmes (25 km) with its many monuments (the Arenas, the Maison Carrée ...), Avignon (Palais des Papes), an aquatic park (la Bouscarasse), the Bambouseraie d'Anduze and its steam train.
For sports enthusiasts, the Gardon at 10 km offers many activities (canoeing, climbing ... and its beaches), Uzège is also a paradise for cyclists: mountain biking and road with Mont Ventoux not far (we see it from UZES) and many courses in the garrigue ...
Our pretty city is lively all year round: its fabulous markets, don't miss the Saturday market, the truffle festival, votive festivals and their abrivados, the wine and garlic fair, the Jazz and dance, the National stud farm of Uzes with the equestrian shows of Gruss and a little further on the ferias of Nîmes, Alès and Arles Etc.

The house faces south and opens onto a 100 m² shaded or sunny wooden terrace where you will find a garden furniture set with cushions, a teak table and chairs. There is also another very large table under an oak where it is good to eat when the sun is at its zenith. Not far from there is a wood (or charcoal) barbecue.

The openings (French windows) overlook the garden, the surrounding countryside and the 10 x 5 m swimming pool (1.20 - 2.10 m deep) which is fitted with an alarm. You have at your disposal around the Chilean swimming pool but also deckchairs. We take care of your pool and garden maintenance throughout your stay.

The spacious and bright interior is furnished in a contemporary and comfortable way.
The living room is equipped with internet with a wifi network, a flat screen TV (orange TNT channels).
The kitchen is a full-fledged room where you can eat and cook at ease. It is fully equipped, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, accessories of all kinds. Household products are also available as well as tea towels.
Each bed is equipped with a duvet, a pillow per person and a bolster per bed (plus decorative cushions).
The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a corner teak bathtub. The bathroom linen supplied includes a bath towel, a guest towel and a glove per person as well as a bath mat.

House with lovely garden
We had a very lovely holiday at this house in St Siffret. The garden and pool were wonderful. However two members of the party had arthritis and entering the pool was quite hard. Additional ladder steps would have been very helpful. The kitchen and living room were fine. Lots of equipment in the kitchen and an excellent dishwasher. However the bedrooms were not comfortable. The owner had chosen not to spend money on decent beds. Also the WC was poor. Especially the lock! Disappointing. As we paid a lot for the house.

Lovely rural location with outside space to relax ,close to magical Uzes
We love this area and now we have found a place to stay which is ideal for small groups or families. The house is all about outside living with a large BBQ area,a good size pool and wonderful views across the rural surroundings : the sunsets are amazing ! We believe that the Uzes area has some of the friendliest people in France and everyone made us feel welcome . Uzes is a gem : it has superb historic buildings but is a vibrant place to visit for shopping and has a wide selection of places to eat. There are a number of market days too and all of this is just a few minutes drive from this lovely rural retreat. We canoed under the Pont De Gard ,visited nearby Roman Nimes with its best preserved amphitheater outside Rome and enjoyed wine tastings nearby : so many delicious wines to try from vineyards producing many interesting products not often found outside France...it really is a treat to stay here ! This delightful home gives you a chance to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring and the owners really care ...such charming people...we would love to return.

Lovely house and garden
We found everything as described on the HomeAway page. The house is set in the middle of a walled garden. It was perfect for us and had everything we needed and more. Peace and quiet, a lovely secure garden for our two dogs. They usually find a way out by the end of a holiday, but not this time! The pool was perfect - clean and although not heated was a good temperature. Surprisingly, it was as warm as some of the heated pools we have used. There is plenty of space to sit either in the sun or shade with great views. A walk down the road to the crossroads is a newly open restaurant, Le Terrador. We went there on their second day of opening and the food was good and decently priced. To sum up this was a beautifully clean house; we would definitely go back.

Geweldige locatie, mooi huis en volledig omheinde tuin.
+ Veel schaduw, rust en ruimte. Prachtige ligging en tuin en mooi zwembad en prima huis. Eigenaren goed bereikbaar en erg hulpvaardig. +/- we hadden wat gedoe omdat de airco op afstand werd geregeld. We snappen wel waarom maar het is wel onhandig als je het een keer anders wil. Overigens in overleg aanpassing wel mogelijk. Tip: iets meer borden en bestek ed is wel handig

Maison au calme, extérieur magnifique mais intérieur à rafraîchir
Très bonne communication avec Axelle. Vacances au calme assurées, la maison est au milieu de la nature, le jardin et la piscine sont magnifiques et très bien entretenus. La maison n’est quant à elle pas au niveau des prestations attendues pour le montant de la location. L’ensemble est à rafraîchir pour être en adéquation avec le tarif. De plus, contrairement à ce qui est indiqué dans l’annonce, il n’y qu’une salle de bain.

Un havre de paix au milieu de la nature
Superbe location située dans un cadre calme, sans vis à vis . Maison fonctionnelle, bien équipée et propre. Jardin entièrement clos et bien entretenu. Grande piscine. Le village de Saint Siffret est pittoresque avec ses maisons en pierre. Proche de UZES avec son marché provençal, ses restaurants et le musée du bonbon HARIBO. Le pont du GARD majestueux . Très bonne semaine mais trop courte . Tout le monde a été charmé par la location ainsi que notre petit chien qui a pu profiter du jardin en toute sécurité . Merci à la propriétaire Marie Axelle pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité . Nous recommandons vivement et reviendrons avec plaisir

Tellement calme et reposant!
Nous avons passé un séjour beaucoup trop court à notre gout dans ce petit coin de paradis! Des couchers de soleil sur la plaine uzétienne à couper le souffle, un jardin à l'abri des regards et du bruit! Une maison cocooning où rien de manque! Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps… Ce sera pour une prochaine fois!

Sehr schönes Haus mit einem tollen Garten und einem echt großem Pool.
Das Haus und der Garten waren super. Die Ausstattung im Haus war auch sehr gut, wobei man sagen muss, dass das Bett in dem einem Zimmer schon zienlich durchgelegen war. Aber sonst alles in einem sehr guten Zustand. Der Pool ist riesig und lädt zum Abkühlen ein. Die Vermieterin hat sich auch um die Reinigung der Pools gekümmert, allerdings muss man schon selber mal mit dem Käscher etwas Blätter und die ein oder andere Wespe rausfischen. Die tummelten sich nämlich sehr gerne am und teilweise auch im Pool. Allerdings waren sie sehr friedlich und haben einen nicht angegriffen. Eine Nacht hatte es sehr gestürmt und der Pool war ziemlich verschmutzt. Auf Nachfrage hat die Vermieterin direkt die Reinung beauftragt und ein Poolreinigungsgerät organisiert. Das Haus liegt etwas versteckt bzw. etwas abgelegen, aber der nächste kleine Ort ist mit dem Auto in 5 min erreichbar. Ausflüge nach z.B Avignon (45min)oder Sault (1:15h) sind ohne Probleme möglich. Ein guter Ausgangsort für Trips mit dem Auto. Die Tür zum WC ließ sich leider nicht wirklich schließen (sie stand immer einen kleinen Spalt auf). Ansonsten war endas Bad und die Küche in einem sehr guten Zustand. Das Haus können wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und die Vermieterin war auch super freundlich und auch gut erreichbar (nur einmal hat es etwas länger gedauert, als wir wegen der Poolreinigung nachfragten).

Maison parfaite pour passer un séjour reposant, au calme parmi la nature et les oiseaux. La maison est très bien aménagée, spacieuse, propre et surtout dans un environnement extrêmement silencieux. Le jardin est un atout; de l'espace devant et derrière, de l'ombre ou du soleil, au choix, vraiment très bien : vacances calmes et reposantes Je recommande; de plus les propriétaires sont charmants!

Havre de paix!
Cette maison est un havre de paix , très plaisante, fonctionnelle et la literie est très confortable. La piscine , les terrasses multiples permettent de trouver un endroit ombragé à chaque moment de la journée dans ce jardin magnifiquement entretenu. Très bon accueil du propriétaire. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Prachtige nette ruime locatie waar je een heerlijke vakantie kunt doorbrengen
Wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad in deze prachtige vakantiewoning. Wij zijn zeer hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaresse. Zij is zeer vriendelijk en ontzettend behulpzaam. Het huis is netjes en ruim. Alles komt precies overeen met de foto’s op de site van homeaway. Het zwembad wordt netjes onderhouden. Het uitzicht vanuit de ruime goed onderhouden en volledig afgezette tuin is prachtig. Wij hebben ons met onze twee hondjes drie weken lang prima vermaakt. Een echte aanrader.

Prachtige omgeving, niet ver van de gezellige stad Uzès. Huis voldoet, maar de inrichting is karig.
Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in st siffret. Wij vonden het huis wat beperkt qua inrichting, zeker voor deze prijs. Met name in de keuken was het zeer sober. Weinig goed keukengerei, messen, pannen, armoedige stoeltjes, het was een beetje kamperen, beetje jammer! Oven, vaatwasser, wasmachine daarentegen prima. Slaapkamers, matrassen waren slecht, leuk opgemaakt met sprei en kussens, maar matrassen van goedkope, dunne ‘kwaliteit’. Geen horren, geen ventilatoren..snikheet..als er geen airco is, best fijn als er tegemoet wordt gekomen met iets in deze richting in de zomer.Maar laten we niet alleen maar de min punten benoemen, want we hebben het echt goed gehad..Dus de pluspunten; vrijstaand huis, nul herrie van buren, prachtige zonsondergang en vrij uitzicht. Groot zwembad, groen gras en nette tuin. Eerst geen parasols aanwezig, maar na aanvraag nu 2 heerlijke parasols bij het zwembad. Buiten meubels konden ook wat van betere kwaliteit..het voldoet, maar nogmaals voor deze prijs in het hoogseizoen..niet! We hebben heel wat vergelijkingsmateriaal, dus helaas komt deze plek er als minst uit, alleen omdat de inrichting minimalistisch is en dat valt gewoon op en best wel tegen voor de prijs. Hopelijk doen de eigenaren er iets mee, het waren vriendelijke mensen, die zwembad en tuin goed onderhielden en op ons aandringen 2 parasols hebben aangeschaft, dus misschien kan er in de toekomst worden geïnvesteerd in bijv. Keukengerei, tuinmeubelen en matrassen. Al met al hebben wij een heerlijke 3 weken gehad in deze prachtige omgeving en ons zeer geamuseerd!

Havre de paix paradisiaque aux portes d'Uzès
La maison est simplement parfaite si vous recherchez le calme dans la nature tout en étant à quelques minutes en voiture d'Uzès, Saint Quentin la Poterie et Saint Siffret. Le très grand jardin avec sa piscine et une terrasse entourant la moitié de la maison a fait tout notre bonheur. La maison est spacieuse, bien agencée et joliment décorée. La propriétaire est très sympathique et disponible. Nos deux chiens ont été les bienvenus, le grand jardin clôturée a fait également leur bonheur. Bref, une maison à recommander sans modération!

Sehr schöne und grosszügige Anlage
Obwohl das Wetter für Anfang Mai sehr kühl war, konnten wir den tollen Ausblick, das Ambiente im grossen Garten und die Abgeschiedenheit (Ruhe!) sehr geniessen. Das Haus bietet viel, ist sehr gut ausgestattet und macht auch einen Regentag erträglich. Die Nähe zu den Ausflugszielen ist ein grosses Plus; in längstens einer Stunde ist man am Meer, in den umliegenden Städten und auf Wanderwegen und in wenigen Minuten im reizvollen Uzès. Die Übergabe der Wohnung war leider sehr knapp ausgefallen, so wussten wir nicht, wie die leere Gasflasche zu ersetzen ist, wo am Sonntag der nächste Laden geöffnet ist und wie die Entsorgung des Abfalls erfolgt. Hier bestehen noch verschiedene Optimierungsmöglichkeiten. Ein Tipp: Lassen Sie sich das Aushändigen der Kaution (€ 700.- ) und die Restzahlung der Wohnung (50% der Miete), das in beiden Fällen bar erfolgt, bestätigen.

Ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt.
Für Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung ist dieses gepflegte Haus in ländlicher Lage ideal. Das große Grundstück lädt ebenfalls zum verweilen ein, da es viel Bewegungsfreiheit zulässt. Die Vermieterin hat das Haus und Grundstück perfekt vorbereitet. Sie ist unaufdringlich, steht bei Bedarf aber sofort hilfsbereit zur Seite.
