"This property lived up to our expectations. it is a quirky yet comfortable place to stay. My husband and I spent a month their at the beginning of Autumn, and were joined by friends for the middle 2 weeks. The house is a short drive from Olargues which has a great boulangerie, a small supermarket and a couple of very good restaurants. Its great base to explore the area and there excellent walking opportunities to suit all levels. Our host was extremely helpful with advice about the area before...

"Property exterior was quite run down-also had dilapidated farm building attached. The interior does not match the exterior at all. We only found out a week before we travelled that there was a hire charge of 20 euro per room for bedding for stays of 7 days or less, had to pay 60 euro more on arrival for our 7 night stay . This is omitted from property details, I think this charge is outrageous. On positive note- the defective oven was replaced in 2 days and Pierre`s wine is excellent."

The photos don’t really do the house justice, plenty of space and cool - although all of the waking hours were spent outside enjoying the pool in the warmth, under clear blue skies. Plenty of good bathrooms tho the stairs to the 2 en suites on the top floor were very steep.Enjoyed the pool and boules pitch when we could (weather a bit iffy). Could have done with a decent-size stove top and oven-proof casserole and a few more decent size wine glasses as we enjoy cooking and exploring wines, but managed fine. Good fridge and was very glad of the ice-making facility....
