"Our first stay at the Mayfair after being recommended by friends. Great location, close to shopping and transport. Unfortunately our room had a view of a wall of another building very close by which was not known at booking. Valet parking was the easiest option as no parking onsite. Room starting to look a little tired but clean and staff friendly and helpful."

"Never fails to please! Have stayed here for many years and in 2024 quite a few times. Staff are friendly and helpful and were happy to help with my requests. The room was nice and a good size. Bed was AMAZING - extremely comfortable. Breakfast had a big variety of food and many people made use of the pancake machine. Dinner in the restaurant was very enjoyable - we had salmon which was lovely and the grilled chicken curry - spicy but soooo nice, I would love to have taken a container home...

"Nice hotel right on the beach and next to many restaurants. Pool is large and gym is adequate. Staff are very polite and friendly and aim to please. Room was large with nice sea view though heats up in the afternoon if it is a hot day as the ocean view room has the afternoon sun. Room has good blockout curtains, comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Furniture in room is modern and doesn’t make the room feel inviting as you would expect in a heritage hotel.
