Hummingbird Backpackers B&B (Entire Room With 4 Beds)

Come join us in our high-end, backpackers style accommodation on beautiful Salt Spring Island. You'll stay in a comfortable single bunk bed in a co-ed dorm room, and have access to all the beauty the island offers. We are a 5 min drive to Ganges, on the bus route and walking distance to 2 lakes and a nature reserve. We have a modern living space with plenty of room to cook and mingle. There is also a large outdoor area for enjoying the garden and fresh air as well as a yoga platform in the woods. For more than one guest, please book the individual listings we have on VRBO. We have 4 of them and each listing is for an individual bed in the dorm room. If you'd like to book the whole room with 4 beds there is also a listing you can book for that. Just look at the title of the listing and you will see if it's for an individual bed or the whole room. Cheers and we look forward to your stay?

good for an emergency stay
This is not a B&B but a youth hostel style accommodating with a minimum effort from side of the host. There is only one shower/ toilet for a maximum of 14 beds/ guests. The doors to the room we rented do not have a key if you wanted to lock up valuables. The mosquito net in front of our room window was missing. When I asked about it the property owner who was there in person referred to his wife and told me to write her an email. The property had a run down feeling and was not very clean.

While we had a good night at this property, and the kitchen and common area were great, the place was not particularly clean, there was only one bathroom for 12 beds and the room and bathroom door locks were not functional. We did not know which room was ours and had to figure that out by finding someone who could tell us. It seemed that not all of the work was finished to get this property ready to use. That said, it was peaceful, quiet and calm.

Facility sharing with daily changes
One small bathroom for 14 persons, continuously changing renters - interesting experience, but not expected and not announced in the ad. The facility is not for rent any more, because on sale since end of August.
