"Wonderful welcome by reception staff. The bungalow was quiet, private and comfortable. Only issue was the shower did not have consistently hot water. Literally everything else was fantastic, especially the service and the proximity to the best restaurants and stores."

"This is a great resort to stay at, the room is nice and the services are great, we got a day tour from the hotel as well and we were served very well. Despite the hotel packages are more expensive than outside, the extra costs do deliver a much better experience and service, making the money's worth."

"A very well run resort with an outstanding restaurant and an excellent breakfast included. Nice rooftop swimming pool with a beautiful panoramic view of the beach and ocean below with a backdrop of an active volcano. Staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating to my every need."

"Such a unique location for a small resort, nestled almost exclusively on Dream Beach. Rooms (Huts) are quite small but was great to stay direct on the beach. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs, as the crashing waves will keep you awake! "Loved our stay! They made it really easy to get mopeds, were quick to respond to anything we needed and the views were stunning! Easy enough to walk or moped to anywhere on the island. We would love to come back someday!"

"This resort appropriately has Paradise in the name. Everyone and everything was amazing. The property looks exactly like it does online, which is rare. My best friend and I stayed in the three-bedroom villa with private pool for eight days (12/30/24 - 01/06/25). The staff was helpful, attentive, and responsive. We stayed in the Bliss Villa and it was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The villa has two indoor rooms, both upstairs, each with its own bathroom and soaking tub. The third bedroom is next to the pool. It also has a bathroom with soaking tub. There is a half bath downstairs off the living room area and a small kitchen complete with sink, hot plate, microwave, and refrigerator. I mention all of this because it was a little hard for me to find this information online. The property looks like Fantasy Island, well maintained, beautiful landscapes and flowers everywhere. It is not all-inclusive but complimentary breakfast is served daily. They do serve the same breakfast every day so after eight days I longed for variety. There is only one restaurant on the property but there is a good selection of options and it is all reasonably priced. The hotel is 1 hour 20 minutes from the airport so we opted to use the hotel's transportation. It cost $28 USD one way. Our driver was amazing and we used him for the rest of our trip. The staff was great but I'd like to mention Devi, Tini, Sutra, and Ayu by name. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend staying at Swan Paradise."

"The Royal Purnama is a beautiful, quiet resort. The staff were all very helpful, and we enjoyed facilities such as the gym and access to Moonstone Pool Club. The complimentary activities, including the yoga classes and rice field tour, were excellent. We’d definitely stay again!"

"I was nervous after reading reviews and hearing there are only two giraffe breakfast spots daily, but I was quickly reassured upon arrival. A kind staff member explained we could still privately feed the giraffes, from the same spot as breakfast, for much less cost and with the same 1:1 experience. The Tsavo restaurant had delicious food and fantastic service, especially from Ayu (worked Dec 13-14). She treated us like friends, making our stay extra special. The buffet breakfast featured adorable animal-themed foods. We stayed in a Twiga room with a breathtaking view—better than my trip to Africa! The bed was huge, with an extra one for our daughter, and tossing carrots to wildebeests from our balcony was a highlight. Some reviews mentioned bugs, but we saw just one fly and a harmless bug—less than in my house during Australian summers. I had low expectations for the park itself but was blown away. The kids’ splash park, with multiple slides and pools, was almost empty, and even adults enjoyed the slides. The animal experiences were incredible; we fed and patted elephants and meerkats, and the park was so quiet it felt exclusive. The Lion Restaurant was so good the lions roar a lot and watch you eat haha. All the staff were lovely, despite some reviews calling them rude—I only saw staff being kind unless provoked by rude guests. My skeptical husband was won over, and we can’t recommend Mara River highly enough. Thank you for unforgettable memories!"
