"We all came up for a deer hunt for a week it was perfect for what we wanted and needed, the cabin had plenty of towels and supplies and plenty of pillows and blankets and had plenty of privacy, im sure some people would pick it to death with paint scratches or cosmetic stuff with furniture but it was exactly what we was looking for and the week long stay was great i would highly recommend to everyone and we will be back in the future"

"The location of this house is absolutely perfect! Right on the Ohio River, each sunrise was different on the river and all of them breathtaking! Loved watching the barges pass from the rocking chairs or swing on the deck. Quiet location and not too far from beautiful hiking trails. The drives to the trails were also gorgeous. We would stay here again."

"You can’t beat the views from the deck. Great to see the barges float down the river. Cell coverage is difficult (at least with Verizon), but that’s ok so that you can just get away & relax, and enjoy the river life. Took a driving tour along the Ohio River, really enjoyed all the small towns in the area. Great place to get away!"

"Amazing 5 days! The home was lovely! Very clean. The views were so beautiful. I have stage 4 breast cancer and the last year and a half have been difficult. This is just what the doctor ordered. My husband and I found a calmness we haven't had for a long time. We just stayed in the house the entire time to enjoy the beauty around us. Very quiet and so serene. Can't wait to rebook!"

The marina and boat launch were convenient and just a few minutes away from the house which quick and easy lake access to launch the boat and get the lake days started! Our stay was excellent! "Overall, we loved Santa's Lodge. The staff was great, it was clean, breakfast had a nice variety of choices, and the big yard was great for playing outside. The only reason i gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the pullout beds. They were terribly thin, uncomfortable and loud. If you don't need the pullouts, the rooms were fine. They're dated, but clean and comfortable. But if you need the pull-out for someone to sleep on, I'd book two rooms next time instead. "
