Cozy Efficiency Studio/B near DownTown

Newly remodeled efficiency studio apartment. It’s on 2nd floor accessible only by stairs. It has a private entrance, bathroom, and kitchenette (built-in electric cooktop/stove, mini fridge). The property is fenced and gated. We offer free parking on property.

It’s in one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. Most of the houses were built in the the early 1900s or even in the late 1800s. The neighborhood is in the process of being revamped where houses are being restored.

We live in the main house (separate building) on the property. We work from home. You’ll see us doing house chores and yard work. We respect your privacy.

The studio is less than 2 miles to downtown: the Alamo, Tower of the Americas, Henry B. Gonzalez convention center, the river walk mall, and Alamodome. It takes 5-6 minute drive or 30 minute walking. There are also bus stops nearby.

It’s walking distance to a couple of local breweries: Freetail, Blue Star) and Roosevelt Park: a public park with facilities such as public swimming pool (open only in summer), basketball courts, barbecue pits. We’re also a few blocks from the Hike and Bike-river walk-trail connecting all the historic Spanish missions including the Alamo

We’re downtown living. Expect some noise from traffic, train, early morning joggers, and neighborhood dogs. We provide EARPLUGS and SLEEP MASKS for our light sleeper guests.

Clean place in convenient location
I stayed here for 5 days while my son attended camp at a near by university. This place was clean and accommodating. I enjoyed the fence it made me feel like my car was protected. Nashville hot chicken food truck is near by and definitely worth the visit. I would recommend this place to any single person looking for a quaint place to stay while on vacation. The house rules said it may get noisy but I didn’t experience any obsessive noise, the loudest thing I heard was the train at night.

Nice little spot
When I travel, I try to void areas that are too touristy. Instead, I prefer to feel as though I'm a resident. This cute little location was absolutely perfect. Everything about it says "neighborhood." It had all the amenities I needed and was a very short commute downtown. I would absolutely stay here again.

Adorable spot very close to transit
I was primarily looking to explore the King William neighborhood, and this location was fantastic for that. However it was also a great place for catching the bus downtown, to the missions and other places around town. The room is lovely and comfortable. I really appreciated having a small kitchen with a freezer!

Its a great place to stay!
Cozy and comfy. Set back on a property so it feels like you are in the country. There is a train, as described in other reviews, but it isn't disturbing. The unit has everything. Comfortable bad, good AC, washer and dryer. What really makes this awesome is the hosts. Great communication, great support, really helpful. They went above and beyond to help me with a couple issues. So nice! Highly recommend this place.

Ray and Derrick are wonderful hosts, and the property was fantastic. It’s a relaxing, tucked-away, little oasis with peaceful surroundings, and just a five minute drive to the heart of downtown San Antonio. We had some really unexpected, challenging circumstances arise mid-week and the hosts did everything possible to help. We felt very taken care of. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting San Antonio.

A lovely little studio
The studio was bright and cheerful with all the things you could need for a comfortable stay. The goats were welcoming and helpful, offering suggestions and friendly conversation at every turn. I would strongly suggest having a car during your stay here as almost everything is a little further to walk. 10/10 would recommend 🙂

What an all around awesome stay. Fantastic digs: "tucked in (back)" 2nd floor studio overlooking a beautiful courtyard one can (and did) enjoy breakfast tacos, reliable Internet (I teleworked there one morning and have to use a VPN), new and modern washer and dryer IN the unit, a little kitchen with two stove burners, and so much more. If it had an oven, I would want to live there. Incredible location: easily walkable to get great local beer and food, including said breakfast tacos. And the River Walk is right there. Had I known the studio is right next to a second studio, I would have rented the two for when my Dad is in town. Owners communicate in real time--no problem. And there is an informative and easy-to-read "manual" that comes with the property. Thank you all!
