"It is always such a pleasure to meet our hosts, especially if they are as welcoming as this family. Including the pup Bianca. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. The terrace on the roof was absolutely wonderful. Surrounded by olive trees and birds. And there is a lovely beach very very close. You can hear the waves from the house and see it from the terrace. "Giovanni and Rosa were wonderful hosts, even though they were in the middle of the olive harvest. The apartment is quite large, and the kitchen was one of the best equipped we've experienced. The rooftop terrace has an incredible view of the sunset over Lago di Varanno. It's a bit of drive to some of the other areas (e.g. the beautiful coastline south of Vieste), but that's true of most places on the peninsula because of the limited number of roads, most of which are quite narrow and twisty....

"Leonardo's place is a beautiful sanctuary just a 5 minute drive along a country road through an olive grove from down town Mattinatta. We sat each morning on the balcony and ate breakfast while looking out over the olive grove, the town of Mattinatta, the sea and the local mountains. And as our phones will attest to, "picture perfect", as it appears we took a lot of photos every time we sat there. The Apartment was clean and is well maintained and Leonardo was always available via whatsapp...

"While there seemed to be a misunderstanding about room size… our cottage was a bit smaller than I expected…all worked out well and we had a wonderful time. The pool was fantastic,our porch overlooked the Adriatic (a bit of a distance away but still fantastic). Host was very helpful and gave great directions to get to the apartment. Peschici was amazing and a return trip to city and the cottage is on the list!"
